AFMC Pune MBBS Admissions 2012

Armed Forces Medical College, popular as AFMC - Pune, Maharashtra is inviting applications for admission to MBBS course for the year 2011-12. AFMC is managed by Indian Armed Forces and to cater to the health and medical needs of Indian defense forces. AFMC is very famous for quality training and placement after education in Armed forces. The course will be starting from August 2011. Total number of available seats in AFMC is 130. This number including a maximum of 25 seats allotted for girl students. All the selected students (105 Boys and 25 Girls) should serve in Indian Army as commissioned officers after completing MBBS at AFMC. Following are other details:

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed in 10+2 / Intermediate or any of its equivalent examination in regular mode only. They should have studied English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at +2 level and should have cleared all the subjects in first attempt only. They need at least 60 percent marks in aggregate in the three science subjects mentioned above.

Selected candidates must serve in the Army for 3 years and they should submit a bond in this regard. You can also have a chance to pursue PG in Medicine. Candidates have to write answers to 200 questions within 2 hours (120 minutes).
