Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for Degree and PG Students 2011

Here is a good opportunity to grab a fellowship for your Graduate studies in Andhra Pradesh. The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), Govt. of Andhra Pradesh is inviting applications from first year degree / graduate students under the 'Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students' for the year 2011-2012. The scholarships will be given based on Intermediate Marks of the candidate. Following are more details of the scholarship programme:

Another eligibility requirements is that parental income of the candidates should not be more than 4.5 lkh per annum and they should not avail any other scholarship from the Government. Duration of the scholarship is upto five years depending upon the nature of the course. The amount of Scholarship is Rs. 1000 per month. This will be paid to the candidates for three years and Rs. 2000 per month will be paid to the selected candidates in the fourth and fifth year for professional degree and PG courses.

The state of Andhra Pradesh has been allotted 6097 scholarships under the 'Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students' scheme. These will be distributed in the ratio of 3:2:1 for Science, Commerce and Humanities stream students. Half of the scholarships will be allotted for girl students.

The last cut off marks for all categories are available on the website of BIEAP at www.bieap.gov.in . Last date for the receipt of applications for the scholarships is 30th September 2011.
