IIT Bombay-Monash Academy Ph.D. Admissions 2011-12

IIT Bombay and Monash University are jointly offering Ph.D. in specified areas for December 2011 session. Both these institutes are known as centers of excellence in their own fields of education and research. They have set up Monash Research Academy at IIT Bombay. The Academy is giving preference to multidisciplinary research in its Ph.D. Programme. Those selected for the programme will receive scholarships and the Ph.D. Degree will be awarded by both the institutions. Candidates can also visit Monash University for at least 6 months with a special fellowship. Following are details of admissions:

Candidates have to pursue research in the following areas: 2. Biotechnology and stem cell research 1. Nanotechnology 4. Clean energy 5. Infrastructure engineering 3. Advanced computational engineering, simulation and manufacture 6. Water.

Eligibility Requirements: Candidates should have Masters Degree in Engineering or Science OR They should have Bachelors / Masters from IITs, NITs, or BITS. Those having good scores in GATE and GRE are encouraged to apply. Selection will be based on Interviews for short listed candidates. Interviews will be conducted at Monash Research Academy, Mumbai.
