NIMSET 2012 for MD and MS Courses in NIMS

Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) has announced notification for admission to MD and MS Post Graduate Medical Specialty Courses for the year 2012. NIMS will conduct an Entrance Examination (NIMSET - 2012) for short listing the candidates for the following courses. The NIMSET is common to all post graduate courses and consists of 150 objective type multiple choice questions covering all the subjects.

1. MD (Anesthesiology): 7 seats, Duration: 3 years, Qualification: MBBS
2. MD (General Medicine): 4 Seats, Duration is 3 years, Qualification: MBBS
3. MD Hospital Administration: 3 Seats, Duration is 3 years and Qualification is MBBS
4. MS (Orthopedics): 4 Seats, Duration is 3 years and Qualification is MBBS
5. MD (Pathology): 5 Seats, Duration is 3 years and Qualification is MBBS
6. MD (Radiotherapy): 1 Seat, Duration is 3 years and Qualification is MBBS

In NIMSET 2012, about 15 percent of the questions will be of Assertion Reasoning type, 15 percent will be multi response type and the remaining will be of standard multiple choice question type. Candidates can obtain sample questions from official website www.nimsexams.in . The syllabus for Entrance Test shall be that of MBBS standard followed by Universities in Andhra Pradesh.
