Revised Syllabus on SCERT Website for 1 to 10th Classes

The efforts of the Government of Andhra Pradesh to change the curriculum to match the syllabus of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) have almost come to an end with the release of drafts of new curriculum by SCERT (State Council for Education, Research and Training). The State Curriculum Framework draft has been displayed along with 18 position papers, revised syllabus from class first to 10th class on SCERT website www.apscert.org.

The academic standards are also referred in this draft. The change of syllabus for all the classes from 1st to 10th has been under process for a long time. The draft Curriculum Framework has been displayed on the website inviting comments and suggestions from teachers, parents, students and other public. There is a feeling among with experts that the students of Andhra Pradesh are lagging behind in national level entrance tests for medical courses due to lack of parity in the syllabus of CBSE and State Board of Education. The opposition to NEET examination is the latest instance of this mismatch where experts find so many difference Between NEET and EAMCET.
