MBBS Admissions New Guidelines by Central Government 2014

The Government of India has released new guidelines for admissions into MBBS course from the academic year 2014-15. As per the new guidelines, the classes for MBBS course will commence from 1st September every year. Here are more details:

1) Entrance exams for MBBS and BDS courses have to conducted in May every year.
2) Results of entrance tests of MBBS should be announced by 5th June.
3) The admission counseling should be completed in three phases.
4) If the seats are vacant after first counseling which has to be completed by 25th June, they need to be filled in second counseling.
5) Second counseling has to be completed by 27th June.
6) Third counseling should be finished by 2-6 September. Last date for these candidates to join in the courses is 27th September.
7) If the seats remain vacant after three phases of counseling, they should be filled by the end of September.
8) There should be no admissions after September.

The state Governments have to frame new guidelines based on these admission guidelines of Central Government.
