Another IIIT in Anantapur from 2018-19

The Government of Andhra Pradesh is proposed to set up another IIIT (Indian Institute of Information Technology) in Anantapur. The institute is likely to start operations from the academic year 2018-19.

There are about 4000 seats in all the IIITs at present located at Idupulapaya, Nuzvid, Ongole and Srikakulam. More than 40000 applications were received for admission into these institutions.

The counseling for admission into IIITs will be held from 5th July 2017 at Nuzvidu and Idupulapaya, and on 7th and 8th for Srikakulam campus. Counselin for Ongole campus also will be held at Idupuapaya on 7th and 8th July 2017.

First round of seat allotments has already been completed. Out of the total 3743 seats, 1613 are boys and 2130 are girls. More details can be obtained from www.rgukt.in .
