1) Under Graduate Courses (B.E): Duration is four years. Specializations offered are Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Production Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering.
Eligibility for B.E. Programmes: Applicants should have passed or appeared for the final year Intermediate Examination or 10+2 exam with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects. Candidates who have passed related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology are also eligible to apply. Candidates passed in bridge course or final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering are also eligible. Applicants should have completed 16 years of age and must have qualified in EAMCET conducted by APSCHE. It is a known fact that only top rankers in EAMCET can get seat in Osmania University. Going through EAMCET cut offs will help in understanding the chances of getting an engineering seat in Osmania University College of Engineering. It is estimated that top 500 rankers of EAMCET prefer Osmania University Engineering courses after JNTU Hyderabad.
2) Post Graduate Courses (M.E. Full time): Duration is 2 years. Specializations offered in M.E. are Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Applications should have qualified in PGECET OR GATE Examination along with B.E. in the concerned or relevant subject. Candidates with AMIE or AMIETE qualifications are also eligible. For M.Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering), candidates with Master’s Degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Geophysics, M.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Electronics), Master of Computer Applications(MCA), M.Sc.(Information Systems), or B.E. / B.Tech in any discipline / branch or its equivalent are also eligible.
3) M.E (Part-time course): Duration is three years. Branches offered are Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE and Mechanical Engineering. Applicants should have passed in B.E./B.Tech in concerned branch or discipline and those with AMIE OR AMIETE qualifications also eligible. M.Sc. Candidates also eligible for some courses. All the applicants must have minimum two years experience as on 30th June of year of admission. Admission will be through Entrance Exam or merit and experience.
4) Ph.D. (Full Time and Part Time): Duration of the full time course is 3 years and it is 4 years for part time course. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree (ME. or M.Tech) in the concerned subject with minimum 55 percent marks. They should have M.Phil Degree OR have qualified in UGC- CSIR NET or GATE examination or SLET. Selection of the candidates will be through Admissions Committee or Entrance or Ph.D. Eligibility Test.
