New Universities in Amaravati from 2017-18 VIT, SRM, Amrita and Vel Tech Universities

Six new private universities and educational institutions will start functioning in Andhra Pradesh from the academic year 2017-18. Among these include famous VIT University, Amrita University, SRM University etc.

The Government of AP is keen on establishing all the reputed private technical institutions in Andhra Pradesh / Amaravati and other cities in AP. Following are the colleges to be started in AP:

1) Amaravati: VIT University (Vellore Institute of Technology), SRM University
2) Vizianagaram: Centurion University
3) Srakalahasthi: Vel Tech University
4) Sri City: IFMR, Great Lakes University
5) Amaravati: Amrita University

Apart from these new campuses will be set up for IIT, IISER, IIM, NIT, Central University, Tribal University. Land allocations have been completed for these institutions.
