B.Tech Admissions in Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy, Visakhapatnam - 2017-18

Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam has issued admission notification for the academic year 2017-18.

Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh - a national institute on par with IITs under ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India calls for admissions for the academic year 2017-18.

The IIPE is offering B.Tech Petroleum Engineering and B.Tech Chemical Engineering programs. Aspirant students can go through the admission notification in the website of www.iipe.ac.in .

Management Quota - B Category Admissions in Telangana 2017-18

Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) is proposed to introduce online admission procedure for B category seats (management quota) in engineering and pharmacy colleges in Telangana for the academic year 2017-18.

The TSCHE has informed that the colleges have not been granted affiliation by respective universities till the date.

The counseling for convener quota seats in engineering and pharmacy courses will be initiated only after the approved colleges list is available with the Council.

B category / management quota admissions will be started only after the completion of convener quota admissions counseling. The TSCHE has also warned the colleges and students not to take admissions under B category till the completion of convener quota counseling.

TS EAMCET Online Applications 2017 - Exam on 12th May for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Streams

JNTU Hyderabad has announced TS EAMCET - 2017 notification for admission into Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test being conducted on behalf of TSCHE. The TS EAMCET 2017 will be held on 12th May 2017 across the state of Telangana.

Date and Time of the test and registrations:

Engineering (E): 12 May 2017 (10 AM to 1 PM)
Agriculture and Medical (AM): 12 May 2017 (2-30 PM to 5-30 PM)

The registration fee is Rs. 250 for SC / ST candidates and Rs. 500 for others. Candidates who with to write both the tests have to pay Rs. 500 for SC / ST categories and Rs. 1000 for others respectively.

The Applications may be submitted through online only from 15 March 2017 to 15 April 2017. Details of syllabus, list of courses, procedure for online application are available on the website www.eamcet.tsche.ac.in .

There is marginal increase of fee in several engineering colleges. Some colleges have increase of Rs. 20000 to Rs. 30000 and a few have increased slightly higher comparing to the fee structure in Andhra Pradesh.

Second rung colleges have fee structure of Rs. 60000 to Rs. 80000. Minimum fee is fixed at Rs. 35000. The fee is fixed by AFRC after evaluation of faculty and facilities in engineering colleges.

M.Tech Fee Structure in Andhra Pradesh Engineering Colleges 2016-17

The maximum annual fee for M.Tech course has been fixed at Rs. 1 lakh. The lowest fee is Rs. 55000. The fee structure is for the academic years 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 has been released by AFRC. There is no competition among the colleges for the increase for fee structure for M.Tech course as the candidates prefer IITs, NITs and other universities to pursue M.Tech than the engineering colleges. AP Engineering Colleges Fee Structure for 2016-17

Following is the fee structure for Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2016-17. The fee for GMR, VR Siddhardhar and Gayathri Vidya Parishad has fixed at more than Rs. 1 lakh per annum. There are several colleges in the fee range of Rs. 40000 to Rs. 70000. Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has approved the new fee structure for various engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The new fee in private colleges ranges from Rs. 35000 to 1.8 lakhs. There are 4 colleges which have more than 1 lakh fee per annum.

There are only 60 colleges with a fee structure of Rs. 35000. The fee of engineering and other professional courses will have to be revised per every three years.

IIT Tirupati with 120 Seats from academic year 2015-16

The new Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh will start functioning from the academic year 2015-16. The IIT Madras is mentor institute for IIT Tirupati. The IIT Tirupati will start with 120 seats.

Presently, IIT Tirupati will start with four branches in Engineering (B.Tech) courses. These are Electronics Engineering, Computers, Civil and Mechanical Engineering. There will be 30 seats in each branch.

The IIT Madras Director, Bhaskara Ramamurthy has informed that the class work in IIT Tirupati will start from 5th August 2015. The temporary campus is located at Chadalavada institutions in Tirupati.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has allotted more than 500 acres at Merlapaka village in Erpedu Mandal of Chittoor district for setting up of new IIT. The campus will be shifted to this place after the construction of buildings.
