    10th Class Public Exams in AP from 18th March 2019

    Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to conduct 10th Class examinations from 18th March 2019. SSC public examinations will be held as per the schedule to be released by BSEAP.

    Inter Exams:

    Government of AP has already announced detailed schedule of IPE examinations for Intermediate First year and Second year courses. The exams have been scheduled in February 2019.

    From 18th March 2019:

    School Education department is brainstorming over the schedule of 10th class public exams. It has been decided to conduct the exams from 18th March, as per the sources.

    10th Social Studies Important Questions for 2 Marks and 1 Mark - CCE Pattern for Telangana and AP Students

    After Independence the first 30 years became very crucial for India. The setting of national goals and putting in place institutional mechanisms to achieve them within a relatively short span of time was undoubtedly a great achievement for a people who had been ruled by foreign power for more than two centuries.

    Independent India (The first 30 years - 1947 - 77)

    The main challenges before the leadership was the need to maintain unity and integrity to bring about a social and economic transformation and to ensure the working of the democratic system. These challenges are interrelated
    and great care had taken to ensure that the system didnot get imbalanced.

    Main Points:

    1.The first general elections to be held under the new constitution were immensely significant for Indian democracy.

    2. India adopted universal Adult Franchise.

    3. The first elections were difficult as the large section of population did not know how to read and write.

    4. Election commission used the symbols from daily life for visual identification.

    Among the first challenges the new nation faced was the demand for reorganisation of states on the basis of language.

    In August 1953 the state reorganisation commission was appointed with Fazal Ali, K.M. Panikkar and Hridaynath Kunzru on the basis of linguistic principle.

    It created 14 states and six union territories

    The constituent assembly had called for social Economic and political Justice and equality of status and opportunity, it put social and economic change at the top of the agenda of modern India.

    Planning Commission was setup dissolve the divisions of caste, religion, and region and other disruptive tendencies.

    In 1967 elections show the big transition in India where many regional parties came to power.

    The Delhi Agreement found place in the Article 370 of Indian constitution.

    A: Single party dominance brings with it other negative features. Its aim to extend influence over state and society by further centralisation. So I think single party democracy would have not been a better alternative to multi party democracy.

    A: Yes, there is a need for a national language. Our national language is Hindi. A national language may for instance represent the national identity. There should a official language in use.

    Q: Why did the tribal languages ignore at the time of creation of the states in 1956?

    A: There were many tribal languages. The Tribals spread all over the country. So it is not possible to form a new state based on the tribal languages. Thus the tribal languages were ignored.

    Q: What do you know about Anti-Hindi agitations?

    A: When the official languages act was passed in 1963 the DMK believed it was an attempt foist Hindi on the rest of the country. There was a state wide campaign protesting the imposition of Hindi. There were strikes, dharnas, hartals, burning effigies and burning the pages of the constitution. The government gave many concessions to
    the Anti Hindi camp.

    Q: If women are not allowed to vote in India, How would it effect our politics?

    A: If women are not allowed to vote in India, it will have adverse effect on politics. The half of the Indian population are women. But they would be neglected. They would not enjoy their rights and equality. If we deny voting right to women, then we are loosing diversity of ideas, values which is needed for country's enrichment.

    Q: Do you think unity of India would have been better served if linguistic states were not formed?

    A: No, I don't think unity of India would have better. The languages unite the people. The language policy was accepted by the central leaders also. The linguistic states were also developed well.

    10th Class English Grammar for AP and Telangana - Prepositions and Exercises

    It goes without saying that language is the dress of thought. As such, we express our feelings and thoughts through words. The words we use in a sentence need to be precise, accurate and forceful. So to say, prepositions are such forceful, nay powerful words which govern the entire sentence. Therefore, a thorough practice of using correct prepositions is needed for the learner.



    Prepositions:

    A Preposition is a word such as in, on, at or beside that is used before a noun or a noun phrase or a pronoun to show a link with another word or phrase. Study the prepositions under lined in the following sentences:

    1. Vaccination protects us from many diseases.
    2. A man is known by the company the keeps.
    3. Foundation of a house lies below the ground level.
    4. Srinidhi has no appetite for sweets.

    The words from, by, below and for are prepositions.

    Kinds Of Prepositions:

    Prepositions have different functions: to indicate time, place, movement, direction, means, manner, purpose, source, concession, etc.

    Examples:

    1. The train arrived on time. (Time)
    2. I met Sahithi at the theatre. (Place)
    3. Shirisha went to the market for fruits. (Purpose)

    A. Simple Prepositions:

    Andhra Pradesh 10th Class Results in May 2017

    The Board of School Education in Andhra Pradesh will be releasing SSC / 10th class public examinations results in the first week of May 2017. The Tenth Class results will be released by HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao in Vijayawada.

    The evaluation process is going on and it will be completed by 16th April 2017. AP conducted SSC exams in CCE for the first time in 2017 and the results will be announced after adding 20 marks of internal examinations.

    AP 10th class public exams will be released for Government and Private candidates on the same day. The details of advanced supplementary exams, revaluation, recounting also will be informed to the candidates. Candidates need to apply in the prescribed format for recounting, revaluation and advanced supplementary examinations.

    TS Government adds 4 Marks to General Science Physical Science Paper of 10th Class Exams - 2017

    The Government of Telangana has decided to add 4 marks to all the 10th class students who have appeared for General Science (Paper 1) examination in March 2017. All the students who have attempted the question number 17 (b) will get 4 marks as the question is ambiguous.

    The Government has received negative feedback on the question 17 (b) as it was given out of the syllabus and blue print. The Directorate of Public Examinations has accepted the objections and decided to add 4 marks to all the candidates who have attempted that question.

    The Government of Telangana has clarified that all the questions are given from the syllabus of the prescribed text book. The government has followed the scheme / weightage of 52 percent for easy questions, 27 percent medium standard questions and 21 percent difficult questions.

    10th Class English Grammar and Vocabulary - Adjectives and Pronouns Tips

    Adjective: An adjective is a word which qualifies a noun and adds something to its meaning.
    Eg: (i) English is a rich language (English - noun; rich - adjective)
    (ii) Nigine is a small village. (Nigine - Noun: small - adjective)

    Study the following sentences.
    1. I don't like that boy. - Which boy?
    2. Agasya bought a dozen bananas - How many bananas?
    3. There is little time for preparation - How much time?
    4. Saikrishna is a clever boy - Boy of what kind?

    Kinds of Adjectives:

    Adjectives may be classified into the following class. Study them.
    Proper - Indian, Australian, Chinese, English
    Descriptive - Red, big, tiny, sick, brave, cautious, honest etc.
    Quantitative - Half, whole, much, little, no, some, any etc.

    Numeral:
    1) Definite - One, first, two, second, three, third etc.
    2) Indefinite - Some, many, enough, several, sundry etc.
    3) Distributive - Each, every, either, neither.

    Demonstrative - This, these, that, those, same, such etc.
    Interrogative - What, which, whose, etc.
    Possessive - My, our, your, his, her, its, their
    Emphasising - Own, very etc.
    Exclamatory - What! etc.

    Examples:

    (i) Mr. Pasha shows much patience.
    (ii) The whole money was deposited in the bank.
    (iii) Sunday is the first day of the week.

    Adjectives change in form to show comparison. They are called Degrees of
    Comparison.

    Examples:

    (i) No other girl in the class is so intelligent as Sandhya. (Positive Degree)
    (ii) Sandhya is more intelligent than any other girl in the class (Comparative Degree)
    (iii) Sandhya is the most intelligent of all other girls in the class. (Superlative degree)
    (iv) Sandhya is an intelligent girl in the class. (No degree)

    Pronoun:

    A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun.
    Eg: Gangothri is a sensitive girl. She keeps her secrets with herself.

    Here, she stands for Gangothri. We do not repeat the same word (Gangothri) in the immediate second sentence, so the pronoun 'she' is used instead of the noun (Gangothri).

    Her and herself belong to the same girl; hence pronouns!
    Note that the part of speech of a word changes according to the work it do in a
    sentence.
    Eg: 1. Who is your class teacher? Here, who is a question word.
    2. Dr. C. Narayan Reddy, who is a poet, is coming to Boath tomorrow.
    Here, who is a pronoun.

    The Personal Pronouns are used thus;

    1. Hemamalini gets her clothes pressed in Paris.
    2. No one takes Agasya to school. She goes at her own.
    3. My mother is not at home. She is in the farmhouse.
    4. The wounded lion dragged itself to its cave.
    5. We have occupied our seats. Have you occupied yours?
    6. Ours is a Telugu Medium school.

    10th Class English Grammar and Vocabulary - Parts of Speech Tips

    A verb is defined as a word that expresses the action of doing, being or possessing.
    Examples:
    (i) Birds fly. (action of doing)
    (ii) Alexander was a great warrior (action of being)
    (iii) Uttej has a foreign car. (action of possessing)

    Regular Doing Verbs (RDV) are - do / does / did, take, see, write etc.
    The forms of 'be' are - am / is, was, are, were etc.
    Possessive forms are - have / has / had.

    Verbs change their form according to the tense i.e., into Present Simple, Simple Past and Past Participle.
    Eg: Take - took - taken and the like.

    In addition to these verbs, Helping Verbs or Modals are there.
    They are - may / might, will / would, can / could, shall / should etc.
    Eg: (i) It may rain any moment.
    (ii) Anil can swim well.
    (iii) Nikitha won't come to school today.
    (won't = will not)

    Note that the modals (may, can, won't) are used with regular doing words (Verbs) (rain, swim, come respectively).

    Adverb:

    An adverb is a word which describes or adds something to the meaning of a verb, an adjective or another adverb. Eg: Rakshith plays cricket well.

    Most of the adverbs are formed by adding -ly to the adjectives.
    Eg: Beautiful (adj) - beautifully (adv)
    Excellent (adj) - excellently (adv) etc.
    But, good (adj) - well (adv)/ fast (adj) - fast (adv) etc.

    The following are the main kinds of adverbs:
    Time - Soon, Late, Already, Now, Then, Daily etc.
    Place - In, Inside, Here, There, Outside, Below etc.
    Degree - Much, More, Almost, Enough, Very, Too etc.
    Manner - Well, Badly, Fast, Slowly, Quickly etc.
    Number - Once, Twice, Always, Often, Some times, Never etc.
    Eg: The underlined words are adverbs.

    Study them.

    (i) Come and sit here
    (ii) The horse is a fast animal. It runs fast. (fast - adj; fast - adv)
    (iii) The patient is almost dead.
    (iv) 'You are late again'
    (v) I go to movies once in a week.

    10th Class English Part - B Grammar and Vocabulary - Parts of Speech Tips

    Following is the 10th Class English Part - B Grammar and Vocabulary study material for SSC public exams of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state boards.

    Parts of Speech: 'Language is the dress of thought': We use words to express our thoughts. These words are divided into different classes called parts of speech, according to the work they do in a sentence.

    The parts of speech are eight in number as listed below:
    1) Noun 2) Pronoun 3)Adjective 4) Verb 5) Adverb 6) Preposition 7) Conjunction 8) Interjection

    Noun:

    A noun is a word used as the name of a person, place, or thing. In other words 'naming word' is a noun!
    Eg: Thomas saw a tiger in the cave.
    'Thomas' is the name of a person; 'tiger' is the name of a thing (an animal) and 'cave' is the name of a place.

    Nouns are chiefly classified into four types. They are:
    (i) Proper Nouns
    Eg: Sahithi, Nirmal, Soujanya, Rohith, Neradigonda, Australia, etc.

    (ii) Common Nouns
    Eg: table, gold, wheat, boys, salt, starts, etc.

    (iii) Collective Nouns
    Eg: bunch, crowd, army, class, team, etc.

    (iv) Abstract Nouns
    Eg: fear, beauty, knowledge, dark, wisdom, etc.

    Note that countable and uncountable nouns are also equally important to be
    thoroughly studied.

    Countable Nouns are those that can be counted.
    Eg: Lion, fruit, fish, pen, book, etc.

    Uncountable nouns are those that cannot be counted.
    Eg: Rice, water, diesel, air, milk, etc.

    Note the difference:
    1. Pareekshith bought an orange, three bananas and a dozen eggs. The underlined
    words are countable nouns. (Orange = singular; Bananas and eggs = plural)
    2. Akash drank two glasses of water. (Glasses - countable noun where as water - uncountable noun).
    Countable nouns may be either singular or plural. That is, they have 'number'. But
    uncountable nouns have no number.

    Look at these sentences:

    1. Ganghothri brought some fruits.
    2. Ruthika bought many things in the exhibition.
    3. Akash drank much water.
    4. I have some work at home to do.

    Observe that some is used for both countable and uncountable nouns, much is used only for uncountable nouns and many is used for countable nouns.

    10th Class Quarterly Exams, Summative 1 in AP 2016 - Jumbling Evaluation System

    The Government of Andhra Pradesh is proposed to conduct common examinations from 6th class to 10th class from the academic year 2016-17. The common examination system will be implemented for summative assessment - I (quarterly examinations).

    Quarterly examinations or Summative Exam - I will be conducted in Andhra Pradesh from 21st September 2016. The uniform question paper will be given for all the students / schools across the state from this year.

    The department of school education has decided to conduct common exams for all the Government, Private and other schools in AP.

    The Government is yet to take a decision on evaluation of the question papers of quarterly exam / summative exam - I. It is proposed to implement jumbling system in evaluation of answer sheets. This is being opposed by private school managements.

    AP 10th Class Exams Schedule and Time Table - March 2016

    The Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh has released 10th Class / SSC public examinations schedule with dates and subjects for March - 2016. Following is the detailed time table for AP - SSC exams 2016:

    March 21, 22: First Language Paper I and Paper II

    March 26, 28: English Paper 1 and Paper II

    The SSC / Tenth / 10th Class exams schedule has been finalised by the AP Government considering the SSC schedule in Telangana as both the states are following same syllabus.

    AP - SSC Results 2015 Disctrict Wise Pass Percentages

    The Government of Andhra Pradesh has released the SSC / 10th Class Public Exams 2015 results on 20th May 2015. The state recorded 91.42 pass percentage in teh first ever exams held after the bifurcation of the state. 6.44 lakhs candidates appeared for the SSC public exams in AP held in March 2015.

    Kadapa district stood first in the AP SSC results 2015 with 98.54 students declared passed and Chittoor is placed last with 71.29 pass percentages in the order of over all pass percentages for all the districts. Following are details of pass percentages of all the districts in AP:

    SSC Results 2015 - AP 10th Class Recounting, Reverification and Supplementary Exams

    The SSC Public Exams - March 2015 results of AP Board of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh will be released at 4 PM on 20th May 2015. The results will be announced at Visakhapatnam, AP. The results can be accessed through the websites eenadu.net, sakshi.com, eenadupratibha.net, sakshieducation.com, manabadi.com, schools9.com, vidyavision.com, nettlinxresults.net etc. Following are details of recounting, reverification and supplementary exams and results through IVRS and SMS.

    AP - SSC District Wise Results 2015

    The SSC / 10th Class / Tenth Class results of AP board can also be obtained through IVRS and SMS system. The results can be available in Grades / GPAs but not in the ranks.

    IVRS: The Aircel, Reliance, and Vodafone customers can dial to 58888511 and Airtel customers can dial to 52070511 to get SSC 2015 results of AP.

    SMS: The Andhra 10th Class results can be availed through sending SMS in the format AP10ROLL NUMBER and send to 58888.

    Recounting, Reverification and Supplementary Exams: The candidates who have failed in the SSC Exams 2015 of AP can apply for recounting, reverification and also appear for supplementary exams to be held in June 2015. The details of these will be announced along with the results.

    Andhra SSC Results 2015 - Recounting, Reverification and Supplementary Exams

    The 10th Class / SSC public exams 2015 results of Andhra Pradesh School Education department will be available on the website bseap.org or www.bseap.gov.in , sakshieducation.com, eenadupratibha.net etc. More than 7 lakhs candidates were appeared for Tenth Class / SSC / 10th public exams 2015 in AP. The candidates can apply for recounting, revaluation and supplementary exams:

    The 10th class results for AP will be in the grades format. Marks will not be disclosed by the Government. The candidates will get the details of over all grade for each subject. The Government has done away with ranks system in 10th Class.

    Supplementary Exams: Candidates who fail in the AP Board 10th Class / SSC public exams 2015 can appear for advanced supplementary examinations to be held in June 2015. Candidates should apply for the supplementary exams through prescribed format.

    Recounting and Revaluation: The Directorate of Government Examinations of Govt of AP will also invite applications for revaluation and recounting of answer sheets for 10th Class students. Candidates will be informed of revaluation and recounting within 10-15 days after the submission of applications.

    Telangana 10th Class Results 2015 - Recounting and Revaluation Application

    The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana releases 10th Class/ SSC results 2015. The grades of the SSC - March 2015 examinations can be obtained from the websites www.eenadu.net, eenadupratibha.net , namasthetelangaana.com , sakshi.com , sakshieducation.com etc. These are the first SSC / Tenth class public exams conducted by Telangana government after the creation of the state.

    The Telangana SSC Public Exams 2015 results can also be obtained through the websites www.bsetelangana.org, aponline.gov.in, results.cgg.gov.in , manabadi.com , examresults.net, goresults.net, schools9.com etc.

    Telangana SSC results can also be obtained through SMS and IVRS systems. Reliance, Airtel, BSNL, IDEA, Aircel customers can type TLN10 space hall ticket number and send it to 58888. Vodaphone customers can type TLN10 space hall ticket number and send to 58888711.

    Candidates who fail in Telangana SSC exams can apply for recounting, revaluation, and re-verification. The candidates have to apply in the prescribed format available on the website bsetelangana.org .

    There is so much anxiety over the results of Telangana 10th class examinations across the state. These are first examinations conducted with new syllabus, exam pattern etc. The Government has given 20 percent marks for internal assessment.

    AP - SSC Results 2015, Supplementary Exams, Recounting and Revaluation

    The Government of Andhra Pradesh (Department of School Education) will announce SSC / 10th Class results - March 2015 on 20th May. The results / grades can be accessed through bseap dot org , eenadu pratibha, sakshi education, schools 9, manabadi and various other websites. The details supplementary examinations also will be released
    along with SSC results 2015.

    The candidates who have failed in SSC / Tenth Class / 10th Class public exams 2015 can apply for recounting and revaluation. They can also appear for supplementary examinations to be conducted by BSEAP, Hyderabad.

    The SSC exams in AP were conducted between 26th - 11th April 2015. These are first SSC exams conducted by the AP government after the division of the state as Telangana and AP.

    Candidates have to enter their roll number to get the SSC results - March 2015 of AP SSC Board. The subject wise marks can be obtained from the Mee Seva Centers or AP Online centers. Results can also be accessed through Mobile phones (SMS) and IVRS system.

    Telangana SSC - 10th Class Results and Supplementary Exams Dates

    The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana will release the SSC / 10th Class Results 2015 on 17th or 18th May 2015. The results of Telangana SSC Board for 10th Class / Tenth Class will be available on the website sakshi education, eenadu pratibha,
    bsetelangana dot org, and various other websites.

    The Telangana SSC results are being delayed due to internal evaluation system introduced from the academic year 2015-16. The schools have to send the internal marks of the students to SSC board and the board will evaluate the marks to decide the grades of the students.

    The Telangana SSC board has informed that the SSC results 2015 of Telangana Board will be released on 17th May 2015. If the results are delayed due to any unforeseen reasons, it will be released on 18th May 2015. The grades and marks of the subjects can be accessed from the Mee Seva centers and AP / TS Online centers across the state.

    The Telangana SSC results 2015 may also available through mobile and IVRS systems. The candidates who failed in the SSC exams March 2015 can sit for supplementary exams to be held in June 2015.
