New JNTU Engineering College at Kalikiri from 2013-14

Here comes another JNTU Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh. The Govt. of AP has proposed to start a new JNTU Engineering College at Kalikiri, Chittoor district. The college will start functioning from the academic year 2013-14.

The JNTU Anantapur will be facilitator for the new JNTU College. The Govt. has already granted Rs.198.67 crores for the establishment of the college. The APSCHE has issued orders to take up the project by JNTU Anantapur.

Kalikiri comes under the purview of Assembly Constituency of Chief Minister of AP, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. The new JNTU Kalikiri will start B.Tech Courses in 4 subjects initially and will be expanded in a phased manner.

The new courses to be started from 2013-14 are B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical and Computer Science Engineering. B.Tech Food Science will be started from the academic year 2014-15.

The Government has allotted 30 acre land for the new JNTU College. It is situated at Kalikiri and Reddivaripalle villages and presently with APIIC.
