No Cut Offs in HCU Entrance Exams from 2014-15

The University of Hyderabad. a top rung education and research university in the country has decided to do away with cut off marks in admission entrance exams from the academic year 2014-15. The decision will be implemented for all PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes in the University from the next year.

The decision to remove cut off marks system has been taken considering the seats remain vacant after the completion of admissions every year. It is estimated that about 15 percent are not being filled due to cut off marks system. The admission will be taken up based on merit and reservations from the next year and there will be no cut offs.

The University has also taken the decision to pay the balance fee of reserved candidates as the fee paying by the Government in the form of scholarships is not meeting the requirements of the University. The University of Hyderabad has issued admission notification for the year 2014-15.

Admission notification of University of Hyderabad for the academic year 2014-15 will be issued on 4th December 2013. The University will be introducing two new PG Diploma courses from the academic year 2014-15.
