RGUKT M.Tech Computational Engineering and Sciences Admissions 2011-2012

Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Andhra Pradesh have started M.Tech. Programs for the academic year 2011-2012. The institutes are located at Basar, Nuzvidu and RK Valley (Idupulapaya). Apart from 6 year integrated B.Tech Programs for 10th class passed meritorious rural students, RGUKT has initiated these inter disciplinary Masters programs for the benefit of those candidates interested in teaching and research careers in Computational Engineering and Sciences. Following are details of courses, eligibility and application procedure:

1. M.Tech in Computational Engineering for Engineering Stream
2. M.Tech in Computational Sciences for Sciences Stream

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have B.Tech in any Engineering branch with minimum 70 percent marks and should have 60 percent or above in Intermediate and SSC. Candidates from SC/ST categories need 60 percent or above in B.Tech and 50 percent or above in Intermediate and SSC.

OR candidates with M.Sc (Physical or Biological Sciences) with at least 70 percent (60 percent for SC/ ST candidates) or above marks and 60 percent (50 percent for SC/ ST candidates) or above in B.Sc, Intermediate and SSC (50 percent and above for SC/ST candidates) can also apply.

Candidate should also pass in 'Introductory Course in Computing' with A Grade conducted by RGUKT for six weeks in collaboration with IIIT-Hyderabad.

Selection process: Selection will be based on the performance in Entrance Examination / Interview to be conducted in collaboration with IIIT-H. GATE / NET qualified candidates will be exempted from Entrance Examination. Duration of the course is 2 years (Six Terms). Total number of seats are 200 (in three RGUKTs). All the selected students shall be offered financial assistance in the form of Teaching Assistance. They will be paid Rs.10,000/- per month. Candidates those are not interested in teaching assistantship have to pay Rs.96,000/- per annum towards tuition, food and accommodation fees.

BITSAT 2011 Results, Online Counseling and Admissions Schedule

BITSAT 2011 results will be available on the official website of BITS Pilani admissions at www.bitsadmission.com/bitsat/bitsatmain.htm . The results are likely to be released by 1st week of July 2011. The BITS sources announced that the entire admission process of BITSAT 2011 will be completed by the first week of August 2011. The admissions at all the BITS campuses will be finished by that date. Following are details of exercising web options and important dates:

Candidates those appeared for BITSAT 2011 during May and June 2011 have to apply online by giving their preferences for programs at various BITS campuses. It is estimated that about 97000 candidates appeared for BITSAT 2011, a prestigious entrance exam for admission into Engineering first degree programs in highly reputed BITS Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad Campuses. The Online BITSAT was conducted for four weeks during May - June 2011.

BITSAT 2011 was conducted across the country in 25 centers. It is an online exam and being successfully held for seventh year in a row. The admission authorities disclosed that the candidates those appeared for the BITSAT 2011 should apply online giving program preferences before 5 p.m., on 30th June 2011. Web Counseling Schedules for EAMCET 2011, ICET 2011, EDCET 2011, ECET 2011

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has announced tentative schedule for Web Counseling for EAMCET 2011 Engineering, Pharmacy Medical streams, ICET 2011 Web Counseling for MBA and MCA courses, EDCET 2011 counseling for B.Ed. Admissions, ECET 2011 counseling for Lateral Entry into Engineering and PGECET 2011 Counseling. APSCHE is likely to conduct Web Counseling for Medical Courses (MBBS and BDS) for the first time from this year. The Council is already implementing web counseling for EAMCET Engineering and ICET candidates. Following are the tentative schedules of Web Counseling for various entrance tests:

EAMCET Engineering Web Counseling Schedule 2011 (Engineering / Pharmacy):

1. Engineering First Phase Counseling: 20th July 2011
2. Engineering Second Phase Counseling: August 2011
3. Commencement of Classes: 16th August 2011

EAMCET Medical Web Counseling Schedule 2011 (For MBBS / BDS):

1. EAMCET 2011 Medical Counseling: First Phase from 13th July 2011 to 18th July 2011
2. EAMCET 2011 Medical Second Phase Counseling: August 3 -6, 2011
3. Start of Classes: 18th August 2011

ICET (MBA / MCA) 2011 Counseling Schedule:

1. ICET Web Counseling: First Phase Starts from 4th July 2011 (Candidates will get three days for exercising web options through Internet)
2. Commencement of Classes: First week of August 2011

EDCET 2011 Counseling Schedules: The counseling is likely to start from third week of July 2011 or from the first week of August 2011.

ECET 2011 Counseling: The counseling is most likely to start from 12th July 2011. The notification will be issued soon in this regard.

PGECET 2011 Counseling: The PGECET Counseling is likely to be delayed due to non availability of counseling centers. The counseling may start during August 2011.
