Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) and USFA, Texas, USA are jointly offering a 4 year Dual Degree in B.Tech. Aviation Engineering. This is a International Dual Degree Program and those completed the course will get certifications from both JNTUK and USFA, Texas. Duration of the course is 4 years. There will be 16 seats in total. Following are other details such as eligibility, fee and application procedure:
B.Tech. (Aviation Engineering) degree will be awarded by JNTUK, Kakinada after completion of 4 years of total study in India and USA. Private Pilot License (PPL) will be given by USFA, USA after completion of 3 months of Training at USFA, Texas. Students will also get Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Multi Engine by USFA, USA after completion of 18 months of Training at USFA, Texas.
You will also get a certification of 'Certified Flight Instructor and Certified Ground Instructor Advanced and Instrument rating, by USFA after completion of 21 Months of study at JNTUK and USA. Apart from all these, candidates will be considered as an Associate of Applied Science (Professional Pilot Degree) by USFA, USA after completion of 4 years of study in India and USA.
Place of study: Candidates have to study the course in 4 steps as described below:
Step 1: 3 months in JNTU
Step 2: 18 Months in USA
Step 3: 3 Months in JNTUK
Step 4: 24 Months in JNTUK (STEP-4)
Eligibility: Applicants should have passed in 10+2/ Intermediate with minimum 50 percent of marks in aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects. Candidates should be medically fit. Applicants should also meet other physical standards of DGCA medical fitness tests.
Course fee is Rs. 25,00,000/- for the entire program. Total fee has to be paid to JNTUK, Kakinada only and you need not pay any additional fees to USFA. Fee can be paid in four stages. Candidates have to show Rs. 10 lakhs for the financial requirements of VISA process.
