Kakatiya University 5 Year Integrated M.Sc. Admissions 2011-12

Directorate of Admissions, Kakatiya University (KU), Warangal has announced notification for admission to 5 Year Integrated Post Graduate Programs in KU Warangal and Chaitanya PG College (Autonomous), Hanamkonda for the academic year 2011-2012. Kakatiay University will conduct Common Entrance Test (CET) for short listing the candidates. The courses available are M.Sc. Chemistry / Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical Chemistry. There are 70 seats available in each course. Following are details of eligibility, course details, number of seats, fee and application procedure:

Eligibility details: Applicants to all the three courses should have passed in Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50 percent marks. Minimum pass marks are required for SC/ST candidates. Candidates who have studied Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (MPC) are eligible for M. Sc. (Chemistry) and M. Sc. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry). Candidates who studied Biology, Physics and Chemistry (BPC) in Intermediate are eligible for all the three courses.

Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in Entrance Test. Duration of the test is 3 hours. There will be four sections in the question paper. These are Chemistry, Physics Maths and Biology. Each section consists of 50 multiple choice questions carrying 50 Marks and the candidate has to attempt any three sections. Section A (Chemistry) and B (Physics) are compulsory sections for all the students. Section C is Mathematics (for MPC students), Section D is Biology (for BPC students).

1. University College, Kakatiya University, Warangal: M. Sc. Chemistry - 36 seats; M.Sc. Biotechnology - 36 seats. ( 6 seats in each course reserved for NRI quota)

2. Chaitanya PG College (Autonomous), Hanamkonda: M. Sc. (Chemistry) / M. Sc. (Biotechnology) / M. Sc. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry): All are self financed courses. 40 seats available in each course.

2. M. Sc. (Chemistry), M. Sc. (Biotechnology) and M. Sc. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) SFC (Self Finance Course): Rs. 30,100/- per year
3. M. Sc. (Chemistry) and M. Sc. (Biotechnology) NRI Quota: Rs. 51,450/- per year

Application Procedure: Candidates can obtain application forms and Information brochure from the Directorate of Admissions on payment of Rs.300/- . You can also get it by post from the same office by sending a DD for Rs.300/- drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, KUCET A/c.”, payable at SBH, KU Branch. Kakatiya University conducted KUCET 2011 results will be announced on the official website of the unversity www.kakatiya.ac.in. PGCET 2011 results of KU also will be displayed on the popular results websites like schools9.com, indiaresults.net, manabadi.com etc. Kakatiya University, Warangal has conducted Post Graduate Common Entrance Test for admission into various PG and PG Diploma courses in Kakatiya University and Satavahana University, Karimnagar for the academic year 2011-12. Candidates can download their Rank Cards from the website. Counseling schedule for all the courses also will be announced along with results. DME- General Nursing and Midwifery GNM Admissions 2011-12

Office of the Director of Medical Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh has issued notification for admission into 1st year of Three (3) years General Nursing and Midwifery course and (6) Six months Internship for the academic year 2011-2012 batch. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for this course. Admission to nine Government Schools of Nursing attached to the Government Teaching and General Hospitals and recognized private Nursing schools in the State will be through this notification. Educational Qualifications: Applicants should have passed XII class / Intermediate / +2 or its equivalent examination preferably with Science subjects. Candidates who have passed ANM course of 18 months are eligible to admit into GNM course. They will be exempted 6 months duration in GNM course as per the rules. Candidates should have secured minimum 45 percent marks in Intermediate / +2 level. Relaxations apply for reserved candidates. Age should be between 16 - 35 years as on 1st July 2011.

Selection of the candidates will be made purely on merit in the group subjects of the qualifying examination. Candidates passed in single attempt will be preferred over compartmental students. Application Procedure: Interested candidates can obtain application forms from during 4th July 2011 to 21st July 2011 from all the Offices of the concerned Superintendents of Govt. General Hospitals mentioned above. They should produce a fee challan for Rs 50/-(Rs.Fifty only). Filled in application forms should reach the concerned Superintendents of the Hospitals on or before 4th August 2011.
