The GMR group has entered into Management Education with the launch of Schulich School of Business (SSB) near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, Hyderabad. The Business School is a joint venture of GMR Group and Canada based Schulich School of Business (SSB) of York University, Canada. The school is being established in 25 acres land near the airport. The SSB will develop learning environment and academic infrastructure while GMR Varalakshmi Foundation, the CSR arm of GMR group will provide basic infrastructure support. Admissions for the SSB will commence from January 2013.
Schulich's GMR School will be the first full fledged campus of a major top ranked international business school in Andhr Pradesh and also in India. The SSB will initially offer two year MBA program to 120 students at the new campus. The School will also launch various education programs for working executives in the due course of time. British Council English Courses for Children 2011
The British Council, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) has announced course in English Language for the children below 15 years. The weekend courses starting from 23rd July are designed to help children gain confidence in English speaking, writing, pronunciation, spelling an other skills. The British Council has released a notification in this regard.
For young learners, between age group of 8 to 12 years, the British Council is offering two courses - Whizz Kid for the children between 8 and 10 years and Shining Stars for the children between 11 and 12 years. These courses are completely activity based.
The courses for teenagers, between 13 and 15 years will follow a book to give them better practice of reading, writing, listening, grammar and vocabulary. Children have to take a free British Council level to take a free British Council level test before joining any course. Last date for the registrations is 19th July 2011.
