Gitam University Spot Admissions 2011-12

Gitam University is conducting spot admissions for the left over seats in Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, and M.Sc. programs. The seats are available in both Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad campuses. Gitam University is recognised by MHRD, Govt. of India as 'A' category university. Following are details of spot admissions:

1. At Hyderabad Campus: B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering. Some seats are also available in other B.Tech programs.
2. Visakhapatnam Campus: B.Arch (approved by Architecture Council of India). A few seats are available in B.Pharmacy, M.Pharmacy and M.Sc. Courses.

EAMCET 2011 Web Counseling Schedule, Certificate Verification, Web Options and Seat Allotment Dates, Practice Session

EAMCET 2011 Counseling Notification for Engineering and Pharmacy Admissions (MPC Stream) has been announced. Candidates have to attend for certificate verification as per the schedule given on the website apeamcet.nic.in from the 28th July 2011 to 3rd August 2011. The distribution of ranks for each Help line centers for Certificate verification are available on the website. Candidates have to produce all original certificates like Intermediate Marks Memo and Pass certificate, SSC Marks memo, VI to Inter study certificates, Income Certificate after 1st January 2011 and caste certificate and PH / CAP/ NCC/ Sports / Minority certificate (if applied). APSCHE is also facilitating Practice Session of Web Counseling for the benefit of the students. Students can participate in this practice / mock web counseling session through eamcet.nic.in as per the ranks and dates given below:

1) 22nd July 2011 and 23rd July 2011: Ranks 1 to 100000
2) 24th and 25th July 2011: 100001 to Last Rank

Indian Oil Scholarships Scheme 2011-12 for Engineering, ITI, MBA, MBBS and 10th Students

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is offering 2600 Scholarships for 10+ / ITI, Engineering, MBBS and MBA students under Indian Oil Merit Scholarships Scheme 2011-12 for 10+ / ITI studies and for Graduate and Post Graduate students under 'Indian Oil Scholarships Scheme. Selection of the candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and parental annual income. All the selected 10 + / ITI candidates will receive Rs. 1000 and other candidates will get Rs. 3000 per month as scholarship. IOC is a leading Oil company of Govt. of India and it is offering generous scholarships under CSR to promote talented students to excel in the education and career. 2000 Scholarships are offered for 10+/ITI students and 600 scholarships are offered for professional courses. These are distributed as for Engineering- 300, MBBS-200 and MBA- 100 scholarships. Following are details of eligible programs, duration of the scholarship, selection methos, number of scholarships and online application procedure:

1. For 10+/ ITI studies: Duration: 2 years; Number of Scholarships: 2000; Eligibility: 10th Class; Scholarship amount: Rs. 1000 per month.
2. For Engineering studies: Duration: 4 years; Number of Scholarships: 300; Eligibility: 12th Class; Scholarship amount: Rs. 3000 per month.
3. For MBBS studies: Duration: 4 years; Number of Scholarships: 200; Eligibility: 12th Class; Scholarship amount: Rs. 3000 per month.
4. For MBA studies: Duration: 2 years; Number of Scholarships: 100; Eligibility: Graduation; Scholarship amount: Rs. 3000 per month.

Eligibility Conditions: Applicants should be pursuing full time regular courses only in the above streams and disciplines. They should be studying in institutions duly recognized by regulatory bodies such as MCI/ AICTE/ State Education Boards/ State Govt. / ICSC/ CBSE/ Central Govt./AIU . The student should have admitted in the 1st year of concerned School / College/ Institute/ University in the academic year 2011-12. Applicants age should be between 15 - 30 years as on 25th July 2011.

Students pursuing two year full time PG / PGDM in Business Administration / Management which are equivalent to MBA degree can also apply for the scholarships in the management stream. Students with confirmed admission in the first year of Engineering (BE / B.Tech), MBBS, MBA and also 11th standard as well as those in the 1st year of 2 year ITI course are also eligible to apply. Applicant's parental income should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- as selection of the candidates will be based on the family's income and marks in the qualifying examination.
