Eligibility Criteria for MPE: Applicants should have Graduation with minimum 50 percent marks in any discipline. They should have minimum 3 years of work experience in an Executive capacity after the completion of Graduation. Candidates should have consistent academic and work record. Candidates who have passed their Graduation through part-time course or distance learning/ correspondence/ external/ open school modes are not eligible to apply.
Selection Procedure: Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Indian - Andhra Students in University of North Virginia Visa Fraud 2011
Update on 4th August 2011: The TANA (Telugu Association of North America) has come forward to help the students of University of Northern Virginia (UNVA). TANA is offering legal help to the students victimised in the alleged UNVA Visa irregularities. The US authorities have unearthed another fraud university the United States. The Unites States Immigration Officials have raided the offices of University of Northern Virginia (UNVA) on the charges of VISA fraud and seized important documents and hard drives. It is estimated that out of the total enrollment of 2400 students in the University of North Virgina, about 90 percent of them are from India. The large number of students are likely to be from Andhra Pradesh. The UNVA is located at Annandale (Virginia), the suburbs of the capital city of the USA, Washington. Interesting fact about UNVA is that it lost its accreditation in 2003 itself. But the University keep on attracting students from Andhra Pradesh and other parts of India. The name of University on its official website http://www.unva.edu/ was mentioned as University of Northern Virginia. Indian Embassy official have requested the US authorities not to victimise the Indian students.
The US authorities including various agencies like Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and FBI have raided the offices at the University of Northern Virginia's Annandale campus. The United States authorities had conducted similar raids and shut down the Tri-Valley University in California during January 2011, on the charges of massive VISA and immigration fraud. Most of the victims in the Tri Valley episode also from Andhra Pradesh. About 1500 Indian students, including large numbers from AP have suffered humiliation from the US investigation officials.
Information about actual number of victims from Andhra Pradesh is yet to be confirmed. The University's official student portal at https://cams.unva.edu/eStudent/login.asp may give some info of the enrolled students. You need to login to get the details of students through this portal.
