Gitam University, Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) has announced notification for admission into M.Tech. Evening Programmes for the year 2011-2012. Duration of each programme is 2 years. GITAM is a prestigious deemed university in the country and accorded A category university by MHRD, Govt. of India. Gitam University is offering M.Tech. Evening programmes for the benefit of working professionals along with other interested candidates. Following are details of programmes, eligibility and application procedure:
1) M.Tech (Computer Science and Technology): 30 seats; Eligibility: Applicants should have B.E./ B.Tech. / AMIE in any branch of Engineering OR M Sc in Physics / Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Applied Statistics / Geophysics / Computer Science / Applied Physics / Information Systems OR MCA OR equivalent
2) M.Tech. (VLSI Design): 30 seats; Candidates should have B.E. / B Tech / AMIE or equivalent in the branches of ECE / EEE / EIE /CSE/ IT / ICE.
Application fee is Rs. 1000 (Rs. 600 for female candidates). Admissions to the above programmes will be purely based on merit and marks secured in the qualifying examination and work experience. The merit list of the candidates will be displayed on the website of GITAM University. Fee per annum is Rs. 1,10,000.

Update on 14th September 2011: List of selected candidates for admission into 6 year Integrated B.Tech in RGUKT - IIITs has been announced and the same has been displayed on www.rgukt.in . Class work for those admitted into Intermediate course will commence from 19th September 2011. Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Andhra Pradesh has announced results and merit list of candidates for admission into IIITs located at Basara (Adilabad), Nuzvid (Krishna) and RK Valley (Idupulapaya, Kadapa District) for the year 2011-12. Seats will be allotted based on the merit list of the candidates for various categories. All these institutes are offering 6 year Integrated B.Tech. Engineering programme for 10th class / SSC qualified candidates.
