PGEC 2012 Notification for GATE and GPAT Qualified Candidates

Osmania University has announced PGEC 2012 registration process for GATE / GPAT qualified candidates for admission to ME/ M.Tech and M.Pharm programmes. They need not appear for PGECET 2012 and can directly apply / register for admission to ME / M.Tech / M.Pharm. The registrations process is open from 18th May 2012 at http://pgec.appgecet.org/payment-procedure.html or www.appgecet.org. The registration process and fee payment is completely online.

Eligibility: The applicants should obtain at least 50 percent marks (45 percent marks in case of candidate belongs to reserved category) in qualifying degree examination. They should have qualified in 2011 or 2012 GATE or GPAT in 2012 to be eligible for PGEC 2012. Registration fee is Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 only for SC and ST candidates).

Interested candidates can pay the registration fee through AP Online Center or through Credit / Debit Card from pgec.appgecet.org. After payment, you can proceed with online registration for PGEC 2012. PGECET 2012 Hall Tickets Download, Seats and Colleges

Osmania University, Hyderabad has announced that the candidates who applied for
PGECET 2012 can download hall tickets from 23rd May 2012. The PGECET 2012 Hall Tickets can be obtained from http://appgecet.org/ and link may also available from www.osmania.ac.in . The PGECET will be conducted by Osmania University on behalf of APSCHE during 8th June - 11th June 2012.

PGECET (Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test ) examination will be conducted in 16 subjects. Total number of applications received by OU are 71,045 and the number is almost double the strength of last year. Maximum number of applications are received from the students of Computer Science and Information Technology (23109) and followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering (16804). Hall Tickets will not be sent to the candidates separately.

The PGECET 2012 exam will be held in six regional centres: Hyderabad, Tirupathi, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Warangal and Ananthapur. OU has also started application process for GATE / GPAT qualified candidates. They can directly apply / register for admission to ME / M.Tech / M.Pharm. The registration process will be completely online and the online registrations starts from 18th May 2012.

Seats and Colleges: There are about 365 colleges Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh which are offering ME / M.Tech programs. As per the previous year records, 225 colleges are offering M.Pharm programme. About 16,142 seats are available in ME / M.Tech and 6,136 seats are on offer for M.Pharm under convener quota.
