Reference: The above sentence is extracted from the lesson 'Respond instead of Reacting' written by Azim Premji. The lesson is actually the address given by Azim Premji in the 'Shaping Young Minds Programme'.

Context: In the essay 'Respond instead of Reacting', Azim Premji lists certain qualities necessary for today's youth to achieve their goals. He says that there are challenges in our life. Sometimes we fail in our attempts. Then, he says that we must accept them as natural events. When one loses, one should not lose the lesson comes from it. When one wins, one must not let it go to the head.

Explanation: One should treat winning and losing equally. They are but natural in our life. Accepting failure with dignity is the point. One should see that every defeat should become a lesson for us. One should move forward for victory. Failures are stepping stones to success.

HOW TO LIVE TO BE 200

Reference: The above sentence is extracted from the lesson 'How to Live to Be 200' written by Stephen Leacock.

Context: In the essay 'How to Live to Be 200', Leacock makes fun of people who are obsessed with good health and body building. He says that such people go to take great risk to remain in shape. The writer says that health maniacs are led to a wrong path. They restrict food, walk barefoot, run in the mornings, avoid meat and fruit to be fit enough but in vain. The writer suggests to them to come out of this wrong track to be really healthy.

Explanation: The author laughs at the habits and anxieties of health maniacs who surrender all their time to keep fit. He thinks they are misled. He advises them to live in peace by losing their mania.

SVVU Tirupati Veterinary Diploma Admissions 2012-13

Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati has announced notification for admission to polytechnic diploma programmes in Animal Husbandry for the academic year 2012-13.
