Osmania University has registered a drop in pass percentage of Degree Results for the third consecutive year. Though there may be several reasons such as regular disturbances and falling academic standards, OU has seen a huge drop of 7 percent this year in Degree results 2012 released on 6th June.
The pass percentage for the year 2011-12 is 42.87. It was recorded at 49.22 percent last year and 55.68 percent the year before. About 62,103 appeared for the final year degree exams this year and only 26,626 students cleared the examinations. If you take the last 5 years the failures have increased by about 15 per cent.
Interestingly OU has been accorded with status of University with Potential for Excellence by the University Grants Commission (UGC) this year. The OU directly monitors the academic standards of the degree courses offered by it's affiliated colleges. University should take the responsibility of maintaining quality of infrastructure and teaching standards.

Osmania University (OU), Hyderabad will be announcing Degree Results 2012 on Wednesday, 6th June 2012. The OU Degree results of BA, B.Com and B.Sc. Courses will be released at 11: 45 AM by Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. S. Satyanarayana. The Degree results may be available on the websites www.osmania.ac.in, manabadi.com, schools9.com, pratibhaplus.com, aarvy.com etc. from 3 PM.

The Osmania University has constituent colleges with good reputation. These are Nizam College, College of Science, Koti Womens College.

BRAOU Open University Degree Admissions 2012-13
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad is inviting applications for admission to Degree Courses such as BA, B.Com and B.Sc under Direct Admission method for the academic year 2012-13. All the programmes are offered in Telugu, English and Urdu Medium. Duration of the course is 3 years. Following are the details of eligibility, fee and application procedure:
Eligibility: Applicants should have passed in Intermediate or its equivalent qualification without minimum age restriction of 18 years. Candidates those passed in Eligibility Test conducted by BRAOU between 2008 to 2011 are also eligible to apply. You can obtain application forms from University Headquarters at Road No.46, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad – 500 033.
Applications may also available at the Study centers of the University across the state of Andhra Pradesh. Sale of applications will commence from 6th June 2012. Last date for the receipt of completed applications is 20th July 2012 (without late fee). You can submit applications till 9th August 2012 with a late fee of Rs.200. Cost of application is Rs.150.
