Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Hyderabad has informed that the selection list of the candidates for admission to six year Integrated B.Tech programme will be announced on 13th July 2012. RGUKT has IIIT campuses at Basara, Nuzvidu and RK Valley (Idupulapaya). List of the provisionally selected candidates can be accessed from www.rgukt.in . About 28000 candidates have been applied online for the admissions. Out of these only 25000 candidates sent the copies of applications and they only will be considered for selections. Waiting list also will be announced on the same date of releasing selection list.
There are 1000 seats in each IIIT thus making a total of 3000 seats. Admission to the Integrated B.Tech programm will be based on the performance in SSC / 10th Class. The admission process has been delayed this year due to the announcement of SSC marks in Grades.
The RGUKT is aimed at providing quality technical education for the meritorious students from rural background and those studied high school education in villages. Mandal / District will be taken as a unit for the selection of meritorious candidates in SSC / Tenth Class. The IIITs provide hostel facilities and offer good infrastructure along with placements for deserved candidates.
MBBS Admissions Online in AP - Management Quota Counseling 2012
The Government of Andhra Pradesh is thinking of conducting MBBS Admissions online from this year. The proposal is being considered by the Government to avoid malpractices in MBBS admissions by private medical colleges. There have been reports of selling of Management Quota seats to whopping price of Rs. 40 - 50 Lakhs. The Department of Medical Education (DME) has been receiving several complaints from the students and their parents to take action on concerned private colleges. In order to bring more transparency in MBBS admissions in private medical colleges, the Government is weighing other options and conducting online admissions to management quota is under serious consideration. Following is the procedure of online admission counseling for Management Quota seats in MBBS:
Recently, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh also expressed concern over media reports on malpractices in filling Management quota seats in MBBS course. The Government is likely to take a decision on Saturday after deliberations in a high level meeting on Supreme Court judgements, MCI guidelines and present admission procedure being followed by NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. Here is the procedure of online counseling:
1. All the colleges will have to follow uniform application process
2. College Managements have to advertise at least in two dailies about filling of Management Quota seats
3. Colleges have to give receipt / acknowledgement after the submission of applications through post or by person.
4. Candidates those applied online should also get an acknowledgement.
5. Merit list of the candidates applied for management quota seats in MBBS has to be displayed at NTR University and concerned college.
6. Grievance Cell should be established to complain on any malpractices in admissions.
Detailed guidelines and online counseling procedure will be updated on NTR University website at ntruhs.ap.nic.in .

ECET 2012 Counseling Schedule Released
Department of Technical Education, The Government of Andhra Pradesh (DTEAP), Hyderabad has announced ECET 2012 Counseling Schedule for the academic year 2012-13. Following is the summary and details of the schedule. Certificate verification for ECET 2012 qualified candidates will start from 13th and end on 15th July 2012. Candidates have to enter web options through apecet.nic.in on 16th and 17th of July 2012.
Seats will be allotted to the eligible candidates as per their preferences. Online seat allotment will be done on 18th July 2012. Candidates have to download allotment order from the mentioned order. Candidates have to report and join in the colleges allotted on or before 23rd July 2012. You can also obtain detailed schedule from apecet.nic.in .
