There are only 620 seats available in BSc (Agriculture) course in Andhra Pradesh. Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University is offering BSc (Agri.) in 8 colleges affiliated to it. There is a growing demand for B.Pharmacy course in Andhra Pradesh. Students are preferring B.Pharmacy, Pharma D and D.Pharmacy courses based on their career goals and qualifications. EAMCET 2012 qualified candidates can join in B.Pharmacy (4 years) and Pharma D (6 years) programmes. Number of seats in these courses will be equally shared for MPC and BiPC groups candidates. Pharma D course require excellent infrastructure and facilities. Candidates should thoroughly inquire about the standards of college before joining in Pharma D or B.Pharmacy course. KVPY Fellowships Notification 2012 and Online Application
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), a prestigious scholarship scheme administered by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore is offering Fellowships for higher education in Basic Sciences. The KVPY scheme was aimed at promoting education and research basic sciences. The KVPY Award Notification 2012-13 has been announced and the dates are released by IISc. There are three streams in the programme. These are Stream A (After Class X), Stream SX (For Class XII students) and Stream SB (First year of Graduation). Following are details of fellowships for various courses and application procedure:
1) After Class X (SSC): Monthly stipend is Rs. 4000 and Annual grant is Rs. 16000.
2) During 1st to 3rd years of B.Sc / BS / Integrated M.Sc / MS: Monthly stipend is Rs. 5000 and Annual Contingency Grant is Rs. 20000.
3) During M.Sc / 4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc / MS: Monthly stipend is Rs. 7000 and Annual Contingency Grant is Rs. 28000.
Eligibility: Candidates those enrolled in Class XI (Intermediate First year), Class XII (Intermediate Second Year) and in the first year of BSc/ BS / Integrated M.Sc / MS in Science subjects during the academic year 2012-13 are eligible to apply. Candidates should have secured minimum 80 percent marks for Stream SA, Stream SX and 60 percent for Stream SB.
Interested candidates can apply online or offline. Online applications are accepted through KVPY website at www.kvpy.org.in . Candidates can also download applications from the website and send hard copies of applications along with other enclosures. Last date for applying online is 7th September 2012. Last date for the receipt of completed applications in both online / hard copy is 12th September 2012.
