SV University in Top 50 Universities in India
Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati, has a reason to cheer up. The University has secured 22nd position in the Top 50 universities in India. The Vice - Chancellor of the University, W.Rajendra announced this in the university. The rankings were given by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India after taking various measures of performance into consideration.
The physics department of the University has been placed at 18th position at the national level. The esteemed department is in the 8th place in Southern India. In the same way, Chemistry department is placed at 7th (national level) and 2nd (Southern India) positions.
Regarding engineering education, SVU University is ranked at 20th position at all India level. Among South Indian University, the engineering department is at 9th place. The SV University is gearing up to bag A grade accreditation by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) this year.
