Andhra Pradesh is the largest state in the country in terms of engineering colleges. The AP has 717 engineering colleges with a strength of 3.42 lakhs seats for the academic year 2012-13. Number of Engineering and Pharmacy Colleges and Seats:
1) Total Number of Engineering Colleges in AP as on date: 717
2) Total Engineering Sears in AP: 3,42,376 (Including 37730 new seats from this year)
3) Number of Pharmacy Colleges in AP: 278
4) Total number of Pharmacy seats in Andhra Pradesh as on date: 32070 (Increased seats are 1140).
5) Total seats in Engineering and Pharmacy Courses: 3,74,446 (Increased seats from last year are 38870)
University Engineering Colleges and Seats:
1) Total University Engineering Colleges: 31 (which includes newly sanctioned colleges)
2) Available seats in Govt. Engineering Colleges: 5946 (Increased from previous year are 490)
3) Number of Govt. Pharmacy Colleges: 11
4) Seats available in Govt. Pharmacy Colleges: 510 (Increased seats are 40)
Private Engineering and Pharmacy Colleges and seats:
1) Total Private Engineering Colleges in AP: 687
2) Newly sanctions Private Engineering Colleges: 4
3) Engineering Seats in Private Colleges: 3,36,430 (About 37240 seats increased from last year.)
4) Private Pharmacy Colleges: 268
5) Seats available in Private Pharmacy Colleges: 31560 (Increases number of seats this year is 1100).
AP EAMCET Counseling 2012 - Engineering Admissions Schedule
Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Hyderabad has issued EAMCET 2012 Engineering and Pharmacy counseling schedule. The admission to BE / B.Tech courses for the year 2012-13 in Govt. and Private Engineering colleges will be through online web counseling to be commence as per the schedule given below. Here are dates for certificate verification, web options entry, change of web options, allotment of seats and commencement of classes. Details of counseling may also available on the EAMCET 2012 official website at www.apeamcet.nic.in . Following is the summary of EAMCET 2012 Engineering Counseling:
1) Issue of Counseling Notification: 20 August 2012
2) Verification of Certificates at Helpline centers: From 27 August 2012 to 6th August 2012
3) Entry of Web Options through internet: From 30th August 2012 - 8th September 2012
4) Change of web options: 9th and 10th September 2012
5) Allotment of seats: 12th September 2012 at 6 PM
6) Commencement of Engineering first year classes: 17th September 2012
Meanwhile, the fee issue has not come to an end till the date. The notification may include several terms and conditions regarding Engineering fee and fee reimbursement.

CMU - JNTU Kakinada MBA Admissions 2012-13
School of Management Studies (SMS), JNTU Kakinada and Central Michigan University, USA are jointly offering collaborative MBA programme for the year 2012-13. The relevant application forms can be downloaded from www.jntuke.edu.in . Filled in forms along with a DD for Rs.1000 drawn in favour of The Registrar, JNTU Kakinada, Kakinada should be sent to The Director, Admissions, JNTUK kakinada. Last date is 3rd September 2012.
Candidates should take GMAT and TOEFL with in one year after the admission and should secure minimum score of 450 points in GMAT and 79 in i-TOEFL or 6.5 in IELTS. The institutes also accept equivalent GRE scores. Two semesters of the course will be held at JNTUK and remaining two semesters at CMU, USA.
Number of seats: 25. Applicants should have passed 4 year Graduation course such as B.E / B. Tech. / B. Pharm. /B.Sc. (Agriculture) / B.D.S / M.A / M.Com. / M.Sc. Postgraduates are also eligible. They need valid ICET 2012 rank along with 60 percent marks in the qualifying exam.
Selection will be through interviews for shortlisting candidates. Last date for the receipt of completed applications is 03-09-2012. Counseling will be held on 7th September 2012. The class work will start from 10th September 2012.
