School of Distance Education, English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission into M.A. English (Distance Mode). Applicants must hold a Degree with English as one of the subjects. Duration of Programme is two years. Following are details of the course and application procedure.

4. Stylistics.
5. The Use of English.

7. Testing Language and Literature.

Prescribed application form can be obtained from The Dean, School of Distance Education, The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad 500 605’ (from date of 1st August, 2012 to 15th October, 2012). The application form may also be downloaded from website. Candidates will have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 500 should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of the Registrar, EFL University and payable at Hyderabad. Merit Cum Means Scholarship Exam on 18th November 2012
National Merit Cum Means (NMCM) examination will be held in Andhra Pradesh on 18th November 2012. The Central Government of India is implementing this scholarship programme to encourage the meritorious and economically backward students by offering generous scholarships.
The students studying 8th class in Government and Government recognised private schools are eligible to apply for this NMCM scholarships programme. Interested students can apply through Head Master of the concerned school in the state.
Fee for the examination has to be paid to the Head Master of the concerned school. Completed details along with application procedure and selection process for the NMCM will be available on www.bseap.org . Last date for the payment of fee to Head Masters is 15th September 2012.

New Medical Colleges in AP - 1000 More MBBS Seats from 2013-14
Good news for the MBBS and BDS aspirants in Andhra Pradesh. The state is going to get 5 more Medical Colleges and a Dental College in the coming year. With this, about 800 more MBBS and BDS seats are likely to be available for the students from the academic year 2013-14. Out of theses, 700 seats will be for MBBS and 100 seats for BDS courses. See details of new colleges and seats to be available from 2013-14.
1) Kamineni Institute of Medical sciences (KIMS), Hyderabad : 150 seats (MBBS)
2) Malla Reddy Womens Medical College, Hyderabad: 150 seats (MBBS)
3) Aleti Suneetha Educational Institutions, Patancheru, Medak District: 150 seats in MBBS
4) St. Augustine Educational Institutions, Patancheru, Medak district: 150 seats in MBBS
5) Viswa Bharathi Educational Institutions, Kurnool: 100 seats in MBBS
6) Malla Reddy Dental College, Hyderabad: 100 seats in BDS.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has already granted all permissions to these colleges. The NTR University of Health Sciences has to verify the formalities and recommend to the MCI for final approvals.
The AP students will get another 1000 medical seats if these colleges along with Nizamabad and Nellore Medical Colleges were started functioning from the next academic year. The number may increase if MCI approves additional seats in the existing Govt. Medical and Dental Colleges.
