India's prestigious educational institutions, IITs and Indian Institute of Science (IISc Bangalore) are jointly conducting JAM 2013 entrance examination for admission to M.Sc, and M.Sc. - Ph.D Dual Degree programmes in IITs and IISc for the academic year 2013-14. The IIT JAM 2013 will be held on 10th February 2013 in the papers Computer Applications, Mathematical Statistics, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Geophysics, Geology, Mathematics and Physics. IITs have informed that the previous question papers / model papers of JAM will be available on the IIT JAM 2013 website. Candidates can download the question papers of their subject and practice them to secure good marks in the examination. Following are the different PG and Dual Degree programmes offered in IITs and IISc:
1) M.Sc.: Mathematics, Biotechnology, Applied Geology, Physics, Applied Geophysics, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Mathematics and Informatics, Mathematics and Computing etc.
2) Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. Programme in Mathematics, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Geophysics etc.
3) M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree: Operations Research, Environmental Science and Engineering, Energy, Biotechnology, Applied Geology etc.
4) MCA (Master of Computer Applications)
Eligibility: Applicants should have Bachelor’s Degree in concerned subject. IITs will have their own eligibility requirements for various courses. They shortlist the candidates based on IIT JAM 2013 ranks / scores. Final year candidates also can apply.
Interested candidates can apply online or offline. Online applications will be accepted through http://gate.iitd.ac.in/jam/index.html from 20th September 2012. Closing date for the online registrations is 23rd October 2012. JAM 2013 Exam date is on 10th February 2013.

EAMCET Web Counseling Options Entry Procedure
August 23: Most important phase for the candidates appearing for EAMCET Counseling is the entry of web options of engineering and pharmacy colleges and courses. The candidates can avail internet from any helpline center or from home to enter these options. They should take necessary precautions before proceeding with this phase of counseling. Candidates need to do enough home work on identifying the colleges and courses. Following are the steps and precautions to be taken by EAMCET 2012 Engineering candidates for the entry of web options:

2) You can collect the information on Engineering Colleges / Pharmacy Colleges with their codes and courses.
3) You can get the manual optional form and enter the options on that before entering them through internet.
4) Students are requested to be informed about colleges, courses and prospects for various courses before zeroing on any college and course.
5) You may consult your parents, teachers, well wishers and friends on the selection of courses and colleges.
6) You should be careful while entering the college and course options as the seat allotments will be done based on your choices.
7) Candidates are advised to enter as many options as possible to be on safe side. You may not get the desired seat in the second phase counseling as most of the seats in reputed colleges are likely to be filled in the first round itself.
