EDCET 2012 Seat Allotments by 30th September

The counseling process for Edcet 2012 qualified candidates is under progress. The certificate verification has been started from 14th September 2012. EDCET 2012 Convener has informed that the seat allotments for EDCET 2012 candidates will be released by the end of this month i.e, 30th September 2012. The class work for B.Ed course for the academic year 2012-13 will commence from 10th October 2012. Following is the tentative schedule for Edcet counseling and B.Ed admissions 2012-13. Candidates can download allotment orders from edcet.apsche.ac.in.

The Edcet 2012 qualified candidates can attend for certificate verification with hall ticket, rank card, degree , intermediate and 10th class marks lists, income certificate from MRO and other relevant certificates. They can attend for counseling at any helpline center.

Certificate verification for NCC, Sports, PH and other Special Category candidates will be held at Helpline centers at Andhra, Sri Venkateswara, Nagarjuna Universities and Nizam College, Hyderabad. The web options process will start from 15th September 2012. Exercise of web options will start from tomorrow. Seats will be allotted on or before 30th September 2012. Candidates have to report at the college from 1st October 2012.

EAMCET Engineering Seat Allotment Order Download 2012

September 14: Engineering seat allotments will be released today. EAMCET 2012 candidates those exercised web options through www.apeamcet.nic.in can download allotment order from the same website on 14th September 2012. Candidates have to enter their EAMCET hall ticket number / rank / date of birth / registration number to get the allotment details. You can take a print out of the allotment order and fee challan if applicable.

Candidates should follow the instruction given on the allotment letter. They have to report in the allotted engineering / pharmacy college on or before the mentioned date. They should produce the fee receipt (if applicable) and the receipt of submission of certificates at the time of counseling.

Candidates need not report in the allotted college if they do not like to join in the allotted engineering / pharmacy college. They can participate in the second counseling for which notification is likely to be released on 28th September 2012.

About 1.36 lakhs candidates appeared for EAMCET 2012 web counseling held from 7th September to 12th September 2012. The seat allotments for convener quota seats will be announced today. It is estimated that more than 1 lakhs seats will remain vacant this year as 70000 qualified candidates did not participate in the counseling.

JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2013-14 Dates Announced by JAB

The Joint Admissions Board (JAB) of IITs has released important notification disclosing IIT Advanced Examination dates for the academic year 2013-14. The proposed new IIT Entrance Examination will come into force from 2013-14. The IIT JEE Advanced Exam 2013 for those qualified in IIT JEE Main exam will be held on 2nd June 2012. IIT Main Examination is scheduled on 7th April 2012.

The IIT Entrance examination has been made a two stage process. Candidates have to appear for JEE Main Examination initially. This will be conducted in online and offline mode. 1.5 lakh candidates from the JEE Main exam will be allowed to sit for JEE Advanced examination. JEE Advanced will be held in offline mode only.

IITs will also take the Intermediate / 10+2 marks of the students and consider only top 20 candidates along with their JEE Advanced scores / ranks for admission. In this process, 40 percent weightage will be given for Intermediate marks and remaining weightage will be accorded for JEE Advanced exam.

There will be two question papers in the JEE Advanced examination. Each paper will have Physics, Chemistry and Maths questions. Duration of the each test is three hours. There will be no AIEEE and IIT JEE examinations from the year 2013-14. The new JEE examination is likely to be tougher than the previous examination.
