Directorate of Distance Education, Sri Krishna Devaraya University Anantapur (SKU) has announced admission notification for the academic year 2012-13. The courses offered by SKU in distance mode are UG, PG and B.Ed and various PG Diploma programmes. There will be direct admission for some courses and entrance test will be conducted for other courses.
1) UG Courses: BA, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Com Computers, BBM, BLiSc, B.Ed, B.Ed Third Methodology.
2) PG Courses: MA, M.Com, MBA, MCA and LLM etc.
3) PG Diploma Courses: PGDBA and PGDCA
Interested candidates can see the website www.sku_dde.com for more details of the programme, eligibility and application procedure. Applications can be obtained from Andhra Bank branch at SKU campus and study centers of the University.
Sale of applications will start from 20th October and last date for the receipt of filled in applications is 30th December 2012. Applications can be submitted till 28th February 2013 with a late fee of Rs.1000. All the UG and PG Courses of the DDE, SKU are recognized by Distance Education Council, New Delhi and B.Ed is recognised by NCTE.

1) Vacation Courses fo Children at AMS: Literacy House, Andhra Mahila Sabha is conducting five day Dasara vacation courses for children in the age group of 7 years and above. The courses will commence from 15th October to 19th October 2012. The activities include paper bag making, easy way to learn mathematics and handwriting skills.
2) Lecture at ICFAI: The ICFAI University, Hyderabad is organizing the first N.J Yasaswy Memorial Lecture on Defining Ethics in a Changing Society at it's campus on 15th October 2012 at 11 AM. The lecture will be delivered by V. Raghunathan, CEO of GMR Varalakshmi Foundation.
3) Seminar: The Center for Urdu Language, Literature and Culture, Moulana Azad National Urdu University is organizing a national seminar on Writings of Women with reference to Urdu Literature on it's campus at Gachibowli on October 16th and 17th 2012. The Union Minister of State for HRD, D. Purandeswari will be the chief guest for the inaugural function.

Department of Technical Education, Govt. of AP has announced D.Pharmacy Counseling notification for admission to the Diploma in Pharmacy programme for the academic year 2012-13. CEEP 2012 qualified candidates can attend for certificate verification and exercise web options for colleges as per the schedule. Following is the schedule:
Certificate verification will be held on 18th October 2012 for MPC and BiPC candidates in different timings. Candidates fom Rank 1 to the Last Rank can participate in the certificate verification. The helpline centers for verification are:
