Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tiiupati is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission into PG Diploma and Certificate Courses (Part time) for the academic year 2012 - 13. Applicants should have Bachelors Degree in any discipline. Date of counseling is 31st October, 2012 for for Diploma / Certificate courses.
Post Graduation Diploma courses are offered in the following disciplines:
1. Functional Hindi and Translation : 40 seats.
2. General Linguistics : 10 seats.
3. Tourism and Travel Management : 40 seats.
4. Epigraphy : 20 seats.
5. Research Methodology and Computer Applications : 20 seats.
6. Certificate Courses are offered in the discipline of South Indian Classical Music (Vocal) – Higher and Lower - 30 seats.

SVU Tirupati M.Tech Self Finance Admissions 2012-13
Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati is offering M.Tech courses (Self Finance) in various sepcilizations for the academic year 2012 - 13. There are 25 seats in each specialization. The registration fee is Rs. 1000. It should be paid in the form of DD drawn in any Nationalized Bank in favour of The Director, Directorate of Admissionss and payable at Tirupati.
M.Tech courses are offered in the the discipline of Structural Engineering, Geo-Technical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydraulics and Resource Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Power Systems, Communication Systems and Production Engineering. Eligibility : Applicants should have B.E / B.Tech in relevant subjects with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate. Candidate must have qualified in GATE - 2012 / PGECET - 2012.

EAMCET Third Phase Counseling News 2012
There seems to be strong case for the EAMCET third phase counseling for the year 2012-13 as number of seats in reputed engineering colleges remain vacant even after the second phase of counseling. It is reported that seats in Convener quota are still available after EAMCET second phase counseling.
The Government is yet to take a decision on the consequences of conducting third phase counseling. It is also proposed to give and opportunity for sliding of the courses and colleges. It is estimated that about 250 seats in famous engineering colleges and 500 more seats in 50 other colleges remain vacant in the Convener quota after the second phase counseling.
No students were joined in about 22 engineering colleges. These colleges also pressurising for EAMCET third phase counseling 2012. Another 12 colleges are requestion the Government to shft their students to other colleges as only a few candidates joined so far.
It is reported that about 1,06,371 seats are vacant in engineering and pharmacy colleges across the state after second phase counseling. The Government has to take a decision whether to go for spot admissions, third counseling or sliding based on already given options.
