Osmania University (OU), Hyderabad has announced admission notification for B.Ed Third Methodology and M.Ed programmes for the year 2012-13. These courses are offered through distance education. Applicants should be in-service candidates with B.Ed qualification.

NTRUHS Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Admissions 2012
Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada has announced notification for admission into Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Degree course for the academic session 2012 - 13. Duration of course is two years. The application fee is Rs. 800. It should be paid in the form of DD drawn through any Nationalized Bank in favour of Registrar, Dr NTR University of Health Sciences and payable at Vijayawada.
Eligibility : Applicants must have passed in Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized university / board with General Nursing and Midwifery course. Applicants age should be between 17 to 45 years. Nine seats in each Government college in the Nursing course (Andhra Pradesh Medical and Health Services and A.P. Vaidya Vidhana Parishad service candidates).

DIETCET 2012 Counseling Notification on 16th November
The DIETCET 2012 counseling is likely to be conducted from the last week of November 2012. The Department of Primary Education has issued notification for the filling up of D.Ed seats in 121 private D.Ed colleges for the academic year 2012-13.
It is observed that about 100 old colleges are yet to get approvals. Another 250 colleges are also waiting for the government approvals. Several malpractices have also been reported in the recent inspections in the colleges. The details of colleges available for the counseling is not clear till the date.
The DIETCET 2012 authorities are planning to start counseling and admissions from 26th or 28th November 2012. The final dates and counseling procedures are likely to be announced on 16th November 2012.
There is an increasing competition for the DIETCET 2012 as the D.Ed candidates only allowed to appear for the Secondary Grade Teacher posts in Andhra Pradesh. The Supreme Court has recently ordered that all the SGT posts should be allocated to D.Ed qualified candidates. This has resulted in the increase of competition for D.Ed course.
