Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Panjagutta, Hyderabad is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission into MD / MS Post Graduation programmes for the year 2013-14. Application forms and prospectus are available on the website www.nims.edu.in from 31st December 2012.
1) MD: Anesthesiology / Biochemistry / General Medicine / Hospital Administration / Pathology / Radiotherapy.
2) MS orthopedics: 4 seats.
Duration is 3 years. Applicants should have MBBS Degree. Interested candidates can submit applications online. Filled in forms should be sent along with a DD for Rs.2000 drawn in favour of Director, NIMS or NIMS.
Last date for the receipt of completed application forms is 19th January 2013. Entrance examination will be held on 24th February 2013.
KU Degree Supplementary Exams Results 2012
Kakatiya University has announced results of Degree Supplementary Examinations conducted in October and November 2012. The results of the candidates from Warangal, Khammam and Adilabad districts have come out.
Results of first year courses of BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBM have come out on 26th December 2012. The Vice Chancellor of the Kakatiya University B.Venkata Rathnam has released the results.
1,09,382 candidates were appeared for these examinations. Out of these, 24005 (21.95) candidates were declared passed. The results are available on the KU websites at www.kakatiya.ac.in or www.kuexams.org .
Kakatiya University is a state university which has hundreds of affiliated colleges. Various UG and PG programmes are available in these colleges.

New D.Ed Colleges in Andhra Pradesh 2012
The Andhra Pradesh Government has sanctioned permission to new D.Ed Colleges. About 51 new D.Ed colleges will come up in the present academic year. The officials at the Department of Primary Education have informed that the Govt. has granted permissions to new colleges to this effect.
The new colleges will start functioning from the year 2012-13. The Govt has already given permission to 66 new D.Ed colleges about a week back. With the latest permissions, the total number of new seats available will reach to 300.
D.Ed is a teacher training course to be offered after Intermediate. There is an increasing demand for D.Ed course after the Supreme Court's direction to fill Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) posts with D.Ed qualified candidates only.
