Candidates those applied for the EDCET 2013 entrance examination can download hall tickets from 16th May through the websites www.apedcet.org and www.edcet2013.info . The Convener of the EDCET 2013 has informed that the number of applications this year have come down comparing to the previous years.
About 1.48 lakhs candidates were applied for the EDCET examination. The reasons for the decreasing competition for EDCET 2013 is reservation of all SGT posts for D.Ed / TTC candidates. 1.52 lakhs candidates applied last year.
The Right to Education Act and Supreme Court Judgements are upholding that the SGT posts should be filled with D.Ed qualified candidates. B.Ed candidates will not be allowed to apply for theses posts.
The number of EDCET applications in 2011 has crossed 2 lakhs. The competition is coming down gradually with the recent developments on SGT posts.
Vignan VSAT 2013 Results and Counseling Schedule
Vignan University, Vadlamudi has announced results of VSAT 2013. The results are available on the University website at www.vignanuniversity.org . The results of V-SAT 2013 have been released by VC of the University MNC Bose. Counseling will commence from 15th May and will be closed on 22nd May 2013.
Candidates who have secured ranks till 5078 are eligible to appear for the admission counseling to be conducted at Vignan University, Vadlamudi, Guntur. First and second ranks were secured by Nikhil Prasad and Vivek respectively.
Meritorious candidates will get fee waiver for 4 years. First 100 rankers will get 100 percent fee waiver. Remaining candidates also will get fee waivers based on their ranks in VSAT 2013.
For Rankers 101 -300: 50 percent fee waiver
For Rankers 301 - 500: 25 percent fee waiver

JEE Main Results 2013 - JEE Advanced List by July
The JEE Main 2013 results will be announced today. The results can be accessed from the website of the JEE Main at jeemain.nic.in . The results may also available on the private websites of the organisations such as Narayana, Sri Chaitanay, Career Point, Aakash IIT JEE, Resonance, Bansal IIT etc.
Admission into NITs, IIITs and some other reputed engineering colleges will be through JEE Main 2013 scores. Admission into IITs will be through cumulative rank of JEE Main score and weightage for Intermedaite / 10+2 marks.
IITs will announce final ranks of the candidates eligible for JEE Advanced after giving weightage to Inter marks. They will select about 1.5 lakhs candidates for JEE Advanced 2013 examination. The process of shortlisting will complete by the first week of July 2013.
The list of eligible candidates for JEE Advanced will be displayed on the website jeeadv.iitd.ac.in .
