New Text Books for 10th Class in AP from 2014-15

The Government of Andhra Pradesh will be introducing new text books for 10th Class (SSC) from the next academic year (2014-15). The new text books are under preparation for all the subjects of Tenth Class. New text books for Maths, Science, Social, Telugu, English and other subjects will available for next academic year starting from 2014-15.

This will be the first change / revamp of text books for 10th Class in AP after 1996. SCERT is preparing these new text books considering the CBSE syllabus and curriculum for national level competitive examinations.

The text book preparation process will be completed by the end of December 2013. The SCERT is mainly focusing on Mathematics and Science text books. It is also trying to bridge the gap between the SSC books and already changed Intermediate books.

The Physics text book size will be reduced for Tenth Class. Experts opined that the present 10th Physics book has vast syllabus and tougher than CBSE books. Considering this the book will be condensed for about 20 -40 pages.
