The Department of School of Education of Government of Andhra Pradesh will be changing the syllabus and text books for 10th Class Social Studies from the academic year 2014-15. The new text books for Social Studies will be available in the open market from the last week of March 2014.
The Government has already changes 8th and 9th Class text books and syllabus in the previous years. The Board of Intermediate Education of Government of Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) has already changed Intermediate two years syllabus in the last two years.
In order to correlate with the changes in higher and lower classes, the 10th Class syllabus also has been proposed to change from the coming academic year. The syllabus and text books will be prepared as per the recommendations of NCF and CBSE / NCERT books.

NIRD PG Diploma Programmes Admissions 2014-15
National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) Hyderabad has issued notification inviting application for admission into PGDSRD, PGDTDM Programmes to be offered in distance mode.
1. Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development (PGDSRD)
2. Post Graduate Diploma in Tribal Development Management (PGDTDM)
Eligibility: Applicants should be Graduates in any discipline from recognized university. Duration of the programmes is one year.
Application Procedure: Filled application, along with attested copies of the required certificates should reach Projects Director, Distance Education Cell, National Institute of Rural Development, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
Last date for the receipt of filled in applications: 03 March 2014

AP 10th Class English New Text Books from 2014-15
The Department of School Education of Government of Andhra Pradesh will be revising English Text books for 10th Class / SSC from the academic year 2014-15. The English subject syllabus and text books for both Telugu and English Medium students will be changed from the coming academic year.
The new syllabus and text books prepared accordingly will be available to the students of Tenth Class / 10th Class by the end of March 2014. Most of the Schools in Andhra Pradesh start classes for 10th Class from the first week of April itself and announce summer holidays from the third week of April.
The new syllabus and text books are prepared in association with NCERT and other reputed educational organisations. Telugu Akademi will publish the text books and distribute to the schools as per the recommendations of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The decision to change the 10th Class syllabus and text books has been taken considering the guidelines of National Curriculum Framework (NCF). This is also in continuation with the higher and lower classes for which the text books have already been changes.
