EAMCET Medical counseling from 5th August 2014
The EAMCET Medical counseling is likely to be conducted from 5th August 2014, as per the news reported by Eenadu daily on 14th July 2014. The Health Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Kamineni Srinivas has announced that the NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) will conduct MBBS and BDS admissions for both the state of AP and Telangana.
Andhra Pradesh has been granted an additional 950 MBBS seats for the academic year 2014-15. The new seats granted for various medical and dental colleges is as follows:
1) Padmavathi Womens Medical College: 150 seats
2) Medical College at Nellore : 150 seats
3) Medical College at Ongole (RIMS): 100 seats
4) Siddhardha Govt. Medical College: 50 seats
5) Guntur Medical College: 50 seats
6) SV Medical College, Tirupati: 50 seats
7) Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada: 50 seats
8) Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam: 50 seats
The ministers has disclosed that the proposal for establishment of new medical colleges in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram are under active discussion. Details of counseling may be available on the website ntruhs.ap.nic.in .
