The Central Government has approved another central institute for
Andhra Pradesh. The National Institute of Technology (NIT), an
institute of national importance will be established in Valluru
village, Ganapavaram Mandal of West Godavari district in AP. The
institute will start functioning temporarily from Sir CRR College of
Engineering, Eluru (CR Reddy College).
The AP Government has allotted 256 acres land for new NIT at Valluru,
near Eluru. The NIT at Warangal (Telangana) will monitor the
activities of NIT Eluru till the new campus and infrastructure come up
at Valluru.
The courses in new NIT will commence from the academic year 2015-16
itself. The details of branches in Engineering / Technology /
Architecture and number of seats in various branches are yet to be
decided by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Seats in NIT will be filled through ranks in JEE Main examination. The
Government of India has set up several institutions in AP following
the promises made in AP Reorganisation Act 2014. IISER at Tirupati,
AIIMS at Mangalagiri, IIM at Visakhapatnam are some of these new
institutions.
AP EAMCET 2015 Corrections in Hall Tickets and Online Applications
The AP EAMCET 2015 convener has informed that the mistakes if any found by the candidates on the hall tickets can be corrected by the invigilator on the exam day. The nominal rolls of the candidates will be available with invigilators and mistakes of any kind on the hall tickets can be corrected after verification.
The candidates should bring online application print out with attestation by the principal of college last studied or gazetted officer. ST and SC candidates should also bring caste certificate along with copy of application form.
Candidates should have studied Intermediate from other than AP Intermediate Board have to carry a declaration form to be downloaded from the website along with hall tickets. This can be submitted at the office of EAMCET convenor by post or in person.
Hall tickets for AP EAMCET 2015 can be downloaded from the website till 6th May 2015. Candidates should bring hall ticket, a copy of online application form, relevant certificates and two pens to the examination hall. Candidates should check photo, name, address, parents names, exam center, code, local area and category and get the corrections by the invigilator if any mistakes are found.
