The new Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh will start functioning from the academic year 2015-16. The IIT Madras is mentor institute for IIT Tirupati. The IIT Tirupati will start with 120 seats.
Presently, IIT Tirupati will start with four branches in Engineering (B.Tech) courses. These are Electronics Engineering, Computers, Civil and Mechanical Engineering. There will be 30 seats in each branch.
The IIT Madras Director, Bhaskara Ramamurthy has informed that the class work in IIT Tirupati will start from 5th August 2015. The temporary campus is located at Chadalavada institutions in Tirupati.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has allotted more than 500 acres at Merlapaka village in Erpedu Mandal of Chittoor district for setting up of new IIT. The campus will be shifted to this place after the construction of buildings.

IIM at Visakhapatnam from 2015-16 - PGDM Admissions
The Government of India has approved to set up prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Visakhapatnam. The new IIM at vizag will start functioning from the academic year 2015-16 from a temporary campus.
The Union Cabinet has approved new IIM at Vizag along with Bodhgaya (Bihar), Sirmar (Himachal Pradesh), Nagpur (Maharashtra), Sambalpur (Odisha) and Amritsar (Punjab).
140 students will be admitted initially in the PG course in Management at IIM Visakhapatnam. The seats will be increased to 560 after seven years. There are 13 IIMs in the country in various States.
IIMs provide quality management education. The institutes are known for excellent placements from top rung companies. Admission into IIMs will be through CAT (Common Admission Test).
