JoSAA Counseling - Seats in IITs, NITs and GFTIs for 2015

The IITs and NITs admission process has been postponed due to the
delay in announcement of JEE Main 2015 ranks by CBSE. The Board has
not released the ranks as expected on 25th June 2015.

With this, the filling of choices for joint seat allocation will not
commence from 25 June 2015 because of the non-availability of JEE
(Main) 2015 Paper-1 and JEE (Main) 2015 Paper-2 ranks. The revised
schedule will be announced on 26 June 2015 by IITs and the same will
be displayed on the JoSAA website.

TSBIE Telangana Inter Board Online Certificates and Services - 2015

Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE), Hyderabad has made several services online to avoid delays and corruption. The students can now apply for TCs, memos, migration and other certificates through online using TSBIE website at www.tsbie.cgg.gov.in.

Services for Students: Equivalency certificate, migration certificate, memo copy (within three days), copy of pass certificate, triplicate of pass certificate (within five days), exemption from attendance, re-verification of answer sheets, copies of answer sheets, revaluation, change of group, change of medium, TC counter signature etc.

Services for College managements: Permissions to start new junior colleges, renew of approvals, permission to additional sections, change of name of the college and change of place / location, change of society or management (within 8 days), admissions information, exam fee collection etc.

About 22 services are make online for students and college managements. Students and managements need not visit the Intermediate board to get the above mentioned certificates and permissions.

Free Intermediate Education in Telangana Govt Junior Colleges from 2015

The Government of Telangana has decided to provide Intermediate education free of cost to all sections of the students in Telangana. The Education department will provide the text books also to the students free of cost. The free education will be implemented from the academic year 2015-16 itself.

The Intermediate Education will be completely free of cost and all the nominal fees will be waived for the students. The decision is applicable to the students studying in Government Junior Colleges in Telangana only.

The students who have already joined in Government Junior Colleges will get their fee back. About 1.15 students are being enrolled in Govt Junior Colleges in Telangana every year.

It is estimated that the admissions number is likely to increase this year about 20-30 thousands. Students can join in Govt colleges after providing required certificates and submission of application forms. Books will be given free of cost after verification of identity cards.
