TS EAMCET - 2 Medical Paper Leak - CID Inquiry Ordered - 2016

The Government of Telangana has ordered CID inquiry into the alleged leak of question paper of TS EAMCET - 2 held recently in Telangana for admission int MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2016-17.

It has been rumored that the question paper has been leaked by some coaching centers after collecting lakhs of rupees from their students. The  DGP of Telangana, Anurag Sharma has ordered CID inquiry over the issue.

It has been observed that several candidates who have secured not so good ranks in previous EAMCET have got good ranks in the latest TS EAMCET - 2 examination of 2016.

Telangana EAMCET - 2 is for admissions into MBBS and BDS courses only in medical and dental colleges of Telangana for the academic year 2016-17.

New RGUKT - IIITs in Prakasam and Srikakulam Districts from 2016-17

The Government of Andhra Pradesh is starting new RGUKT - IIITs (International Institutes of Information Technology) in Prakasam and Srikakulam districts from the academic year 2016-17. Another new RGUKT - IIIT will be started in Anantapur from the academic year 2017-18.

At present, there are two IIITs in Andhra Pradesh, at Nuzvidu and Idupulapaya (RK Valley). New IIIT in Prakasam district will be set up at Yerrajarla near Ongole. The location is yet to be identified in Srikakulam district.

The admissions notification for Intermediate + B.Tech Integrated course will be announced in a day or two for these institutions. The classes will be temporarily held at Idupulapaya and Nuzvid.

85 percent of seats in Srikakulam IIIT will be reserved for students from AU region (10 districts) and remaining seats will be filled with students from all the districts of AP.

TS - ECET 2016 Spot Admissions into Engineering and B. Pharmacy

Telangana State Council Higher Education (TSCHE) has announced notification for lateral entry admission into Engineering / B.Pharmacy courses through spot admission for unfilled vacancies.

Eligibility Requirements:
Candidates who have not taken admission so far are only eligible. Candidates shall not be allowed for spot admission without original certificates.

The vacancies are to be filled first with those qualified in TSECET-2016 and possessing 44.5% and above (for OC) and 39.5% and above for (BC/ SC/ ST) in the relevant Diploma/ B.Sc. Examination.

If the vacancies are still left, Candidates who have passed Diploma/B.Sc. Examination with 44.5 % and above (OC), 39.5% and above (BC/ SC/ ST) are to be considered.

Commencement of receiving applications: 21 July 2016.
Last date for receiving of applications: 23 July 2016.
Spot admissions at institutions: 25 July 2016
Uploading of spot admission candidate details through online: 27 July 2016.
Submission of hard copies of relevant certificates along with DDs in person or through registered post to the convenor TSECET - 2016 Admissions, Sankethika Vidya Bhavan, Masab Tank , Hyderabad is  30 July 2016.
