ONGC 500 Scholarships for SC and ST Students 2017-18
ONGC has announced scholarship scheme for SC and ST students to pursue Engineering, MBBS, Management, and Masters in Geology / Geophysics. The scholarship amount is Rs. 4000 per month and will be valid for 12 months every year till the end of the course. The details of scholarships for each course and application procedure for the year 2017-18 are given below:
1) Engineering: 247 Scholarships
2) MBBS: 45 posts
3) MBA: 73 posts
4) Masters in Geology / Geophysics: 135 posts
Eligibility: Candidates should be studying first year of the respective course in a recognised institution / University. Students those pursuing four years Engineering / MBBS course / Two years Masters course in Business Administration and two years Masters Degree in Geology/ Geophysics are eligible.
Candidates should have obtained minimum 60 percent marks in 12th class for Engineering and MBBS disciplines. Similarly 60 percent marks are necessary in graduation for PG Courses i.e. Geology / Geophysics / MBA. Gross annual income of family of the candidate from all the sources should not be more than Rs. 4.50 lakhs per annum. Age should be below 30 years as on 1st of October, 2016.
The candidate fulfilling the above criteria may submit their application in the prescribed ‘Application format’ which can be downloaded from ONGC website www.ongcindia.com. Closing date for the submission of applications is 24 January 2017.
