Changes in POLYCET 2017 in Telangana - English and Social Studies Subjects Included
The Government of Telangana has changed the question paper pattern for POLYCET entrance examination, to be conducted for admission into polytechnic courses in Telangana state. The POLYCET question paper will now have five sections instead of the earlier three sections from the academic year 2017-18. The POLYCET 2017 will be conducted as per the new changes.
Following are the sections in POLYCET 2017:
Total question paper will be for 120 marks. The sections include:
Mathematics: 50 marks
Physical and Chemical Sciences: 25 marks each
English: 10 marks
Social Studies: 10 marks
The decision has been taken to include English and Social Studies as the candidates need minimum English knowledge and also an understanding of Telangana History and Movement. The schedule of POLYCET 2017 will be released in January 2017.
