DIETCET Counseling Notification 2013 and Schedule
Hyderabad: DIETCET 2013 counseling notification will be issued on 31st October 2013, that is on today. The notification and DIETCET 2013 admissions have been too delayed this year due to political uncertainty in Andhra Pradesh. Following is the brief schedule of DIETCET 2013 counseling for D.Ed. admissions for the academic year 2013-14.
1. Issue of DIETCET 2013 counseling notification: 31 October
2. Entry of web options: 11 to 14 November 2013
3. Allotment of seats: 19 November 2013.
Certificate verification will be done between 23 and 26 October 2013. Class work will commence from 27 October 2013.
Duration of D.Ed course is two years. The DIETCET will be renamed as DEECET from the next academic year. The change will take place as per the NCTE guidelines. NCTE is offering course with the name of Diploma in Elementary Education.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to rename the existing DIETCET examination as DEECET (Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test) on the line of central level examination and eligibility requirements. The DEECET will be implemented from the year 2014.
The NCTE has also changed the previous D.Ed. course as Diploma in Elementary Education. The AP Government also has changed the nomenclatures of the courses following NCTE guidelines.
The Government also decided to follow strict schedule for the new examination from 2014. The entire admission and counseling process will be completed by August. Notification will be issued in March every year following the examination in first week of May.
Meanwhile, DIETCET 2013 counseling schedule is likely to be released in one or two days for admission into D.Ed. Course for the academic year 2013-14. The counseling process has been much delayed due to internal political issues in the state.
