Maulana Azad national Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad is offering various Post Graduate, M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes. The University is also offering different Diploma, P.G. Diploma, Teacher's Training, ITI and Polytechnic Courses at the campus located in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The University has established Industrial Training Institutes and Polytechnic Colleges at Darbhanga, Bangalore and Hyderabad. MANUU offer generous fellowships and scholarships for PG, M.Phil and Ph.D candidates. There is also a earn while you learn programme. Apart from regular courses, MANUU also offer distance education programmes in various subjects. Following are details of regular programmes, eligibility and application procedure:
1) M.A.: Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, English and Persian. Qualifications: Applicants should be graduates in the concerned subjects with minimum 45 percent marks. They should have studied Urdu, Arabic or Persian as a subject or as a language at the Graduation level. Candidates who have studied the concerned language as an optional subject will be preferred. Admission will be based on merit in the qualifying examination or entrance examination.
2) M.A. Translation: Candidates should be well versed in English and Urdu and should have secured minimum 45 percent marks in Graduation. They must have studied Urdu at school or intermediate (10+2) or in graduation level.
3) M.A. Women Education / M.A. Mass Communication / MBA: Applicants should be Graduates with at least 45 percent of marks and must have studied URDU at school or college level.
4) M.A. Public Administration: Applicants should have graduation in any discipline with at least 45 percent marks. Those studied Public Administration or political science in graduation will be preferred.
5) M. Phil. : Urdu / English / Hindi / Women Education / Political Science / Public Administration: Candidates should have Masters Degree with minimum 55 percent marks in aggregate in the concerned or related subject. Selection will be based on the entrance examination. Candidates with JRF or NET or SLET will be exempted from appearing for the entrance test.
6) Ph. D. : Urdu / English / Hindi / Women Education / Public Administration / Education and Training: Applicants should have Masters Degree with minimum 55 percent marks in the concerned or related subject. They shoulhd any one of these qualifications: M. Phil in the concerned subject or JRF / NET/ SLET or two research articles published in a referred journals, or at least 3 years teaching experience in any degree college. Admission will be based on entrance examination. Candidates JRF/ NET or SLET will be exempted from the Entrance Test.
MANUU releases admission notification during April every year. Notification for 2012-13 will come out ion the last week for March or first week of April 2012. M.Phil and Ph.D. candidates will get a stipend of Rs. 3000 and Rs. 5000 per month respectively. The MANUU also offer various scholarships and teaching assistantships for the deserved candidates. The Univeristy provides hostel facility for all the admitted candidates. Applications can be obtained from MANUU campus and all the MANUU centers across the country.
