MANUU Distance Education Admissions

Maulana Azad National Urdu University is offering various distance education programmes through it's Directorate of Distance Education (DDE). The University is offering 3 PG, 3 UG and 8 Diploma and Certificate courses in the distance mode. MANUU is also offering B.Ed. in distance mode which is approved by NCTE. The university has Regional Centers at New Delhi, Darbhanga, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, Patna, Srinagar and Ranchi and Sub-Regional Centres at Lucknow, Sambhal, Jammu, Mewat, Hyderabad, Amaravati and Chandni Chowk. Following are details of programmes, duration, eligibility and application procedure:

1) Post Graduate Programmes: M.A Urdu, M.A. History and M.A. English (Minimum durations is 2 years and maximum duration is 4 years.)
2) Under Graduate Programmes: B.A, B.Com, B.Sc. (BZC), B.Sc. (MPC) - Minimum durations is 3 years and maximum duration is 6 years.
3) B.Ed. (BZC) - Minimum and maximum duration is 2 -4 years.

4) PG Diploma and Diploma Programmes: Durations of minimum and maximum 1 - 2 years.
PG Diploma in Museology
PG Diploma in Tourism Management
Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication
Diploma in Teaching English

5) Certificate Programmes: Durations is 6 months to maximum of 1 year.
Certificate course in Food and Nutrition
Certificate of Proficiency in Urdu through English
Certificate of Proficiency in Urdu through Hindi
Certificate in Functional English for Urdu Speaker

Admission Procedure: The admission to UG programmes will be three modes: 1) Direct Admission to Intermediate or 10+2 pass candidates. 2) Equivalent Examinations (Alim/Fazil) of recognised Madrasas. 3) Eligibility Test conducted for candidates above 18 years but without 10+2 or equivalent pass. MANUU also offer regular M.A, M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes for which notification will be issued separately during April every year.

The admission to B.Ed. (in-service teachers) will be based on pass in UG examination with school subjects and sufficient knowledge of Urdu and Urdu should be studied as a subject or as the medium of instruction at the school or 10+2 or at 10+2+3 level. Candidates should qualify in Entrance Test and attend for counseling. For PG programmes, admission will be based on pass in UG examination or pass in equivalent Madarsa Board Examination.
