PG Entrance Tests - Latest Updates

Admission schedules for Post Graduate Courses in the Universities in Andhra Pradesh has slated for a major change from 2010-11 onwards. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has decided to conduct PG entrance tests on regional basis. The State Universities comes under the purview of Andhra, Osmania and Sri Venkateswara Universities shall admit the students based on a common entrance for their own region.

The Osmania, Andhra and Sri Venkateswara Universities shall conduct PG entrance tests on behalf of all other universities and affiliated colleges falls under their region. Hence students need not apply for each university to get admission in the PG courses.

The names of the regional PGCETs will be titled as SVURPGCET, AURPGCET, OUPGCET etc. This will reduce so much burden on the students and offer more time for a single and well planed preparation. Notifications for Regional PGCETs will be announced during February - March every year.
