INSPIRE- Innovation in Scientific Pursuit for Inspired Research is a new fellowship scheme launched by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. These fellowships are for first rank holders in PG and who are interested in pursuing Doctoral Program (Ph.D.) in Science and Technology. INSPIRE is intended to encourage research in science education. Fellowships under INSPIRE are equivalent to NET qualified candidates.
INSPIRE fellowships are offered in following disciplines....
Eligibility Requirements: Candidates should have secured first rank in the Post Graduate Degree in Basic and Natural Sciences OR should have degree in Engineering Sciences / Medical Sciences / Pharmaceutical Sciences / Agricultural Sciences / Veterinary Sciences.Selection will be based on merit. Selected candidates will be given research grants for Five years for doing research leading to Ph.D. Degree.
