Ambedkar University Srikakulam-M.Phil, Ph.D. Admissions 2010-11

Dr.B.R. Ambedkar University, Srikakulam (Etcherla) has released notification for admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. Programmes for the academic year 2010-11. Both the courses are offered on Full TIme / Part Time basis. The University shall conduct an Entrance Test Dr. BRAURESET for M.Phil and Ph.D. admissions. Those Candidates qualified in GATE / CSIR / UGC-NET / SLET / Other Equivalent National Level Examinations are exempted from BRAURESET and will be considered for direct admission. But they also have to apply in the prescribed application form. Applications are invited for the above research progammes in the following disciplines:

1. Biotechnology
2. Commerce
3. Management
4. Economics
5. Rural Development
6. Social Work

Eligibility for regular Ph.D.: Applicants should have PG degree in the concerned subject for which he / she is applying. They should have secured minimum 55 percent marks. SC/ ST candidates need 50 percent marks. Candidate should qualify in any one of these: Dr. BRAURESET / GATE / CSIR / UGC-NET / SLET / Other Equivalent National Level Examination.

Eligibility for Part Time M.Phil/ Ph.D.: Teachers, Non- Teaching staff, Lecturers, Junior Lecturers, Librarians and Candidates with minimum 10 years experience as executive in Commercial Banks, Industries, Financial Institutions, Reputed Service Organizations, Central / State Government Gazette and Non-Gazette Officers will be considered for M.Phil / Ph.D (Part-time) admissions. Duration of the experience may vary based on the position of the employment.

Selection will be based on Written Test and Interview. Written Test consists of 120 questions to be answered in 2 hours duration. There will be two parts in the written test.
1. Part-A : General Aptitude - 30 questions
2. Part- B: Concerned Subject - 90 questions.

Those qualified in Written test will be called for interview. Interview carries 100 marks out of which 50 marks will be given for Research Proposal and another 50 allotted for Discussion and Oral Presentation in Interview.

Interested candidates can download application form and the details from the university website ww.brau.in. Filled in application forms with a crossed DD for Rs. 500 towards Registration fee. SC / ST students have to pay Rs. 400 as registration fee. DD should be drawn in favour of 'The Registrar, Dr. BRAU, Srikakulam' and payable at Etcherla should reach the Registrar, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Srikakulam, Etcherla- 532 410. Last date for receipt of application forms is 08th January 2011. The entrance test will be conducted on 29th January, 2011 at Dr. BR Ambedkar University, Srikakulam (at Etcherla campus).
